Absolutely appalling post office! Avoid at all costs and this place should really be closed down

The women who run this are extremely rude, prices in the shop need to be investigated by trading standards since they have items marked as one price but are charged at a higher price.

Items are always refused and end up being returned to sender so why they even offer a collect service is beyond me!

I really wish we could have a local post office again in Mapplewell run properly.

Walked in to try and send a parcel. Stood at the screen where the older lady was at the counter. She was on her phone via speaker and was complaining about another member of her staff to someone for around 5 minutes. No acknowledgement of me at all. I waited very awkwardly for 5 minutes hearing the conversation opposite her, then decided to leave. She shouted to me as I got to the door and I told her that I was leaving because of how ignorant she was being. She waved me out.

I’ll never set foot in there again. A shame really as it is ideally located for me.

Terrible place, avoid if possible!

Basically, the royal mail shouldv’e never let this store run the post office. There’s only ever one member of staff on at a time because it’s a family business and they are too tight and greedy to employ anyone else. They only value the shop over the post office so generally queing for 30 minutes a time. The two women are extremely rude and quite unfriendly. Mapplewell needs a real post office again not this #^*#!

The young ish Indian looking woman is extremely rude, speaks condescendingly and shows no respect! She is a disgrace to royal mail.
Rude to my 93 year old father, rude to me, and now I've heard to other people too! Go to Kexborough post office. There you will be treated with kindness, and respect. The owner even helped me carry my parcels out to my car.

I use many post offices in the Barnsley area and I come across various staff from rude , to ok ,to nice but I must say the owners/staff at Windhill are a league apart ,very friendly, professional,polite a pleasure to deal with ! Well done!
