A lovely traditional covered station with one middle platform. Easy access as station is in the middle of city. This station is served by South Western and great Western trains. Fast track for London Waterloo. This station is about 2 minutes walk from the beach. Toilets available at station and a coffee shop. A typical seaside town, great sandy beach with lots of entertainment for families.

Weymouth is a great place for couples, families, and children, and for ever one .it's lovely and flat lots of shops and a lovely beach ⛱️ and boat trips a good bus service and railway station

Station toilets are still not working. Come on SWR, we pay enough for riding with you, the least you can do is provide needy people with reasonable facilities.
Apart from that, Weymouth has something for everyone. I love the donkies. Great place for families.

A lovely traditional covered station with the entrance at one end. Easy access and the station is served by South Western and great Western trains. This station will take you into the heart of Weymouth and about a minutes walk from the beach.

If you're planning somewhere to go for a day, Weymouth is definitely the top pick for a day out in Dorset.
Sure Bournemouth is a close 2nd and places like Lyme Regis & Poole are interesting locations, but Weymouth's beach is perfect.
Clear water, so much areas to relax, a long wide pavement to walk around to see more of the beach, the harbour area as well as the restaurants around it is beautiful and it's more picturesque than (Dare I say) Brighton.
So yeah, give Weymouth a go.
