The customer service is truly shocking in this post office. Unprofessional - everything is a task for them to do and they’re not willing to help you if you don’t understand. Snarky comments when you go in and I genuinely think that you need to employ people who know everything about the post office -regarding online parcels etc as they will happily say ‘we don’t know online stuff’ and aren’t even willing to have a look.
Really puts you off going in.

What a great Post Office and gift shop, booked my holiday through their travel agents and cannot recommend them enough. Also bought some lovely wedding gifts there and the cards are lovely. Staff are always welcoming and helpful.

If you want snarky comments when you do click and drop, refusal to change currencies because you didn’t get it from there originally, a bad attitude, unprofessional private conversations while you’re waiting in line…. This is the place!

Note to the shop owner: If you’re getting a bad deal from Royal Mail, don’t take it out on the customer. Take it up with Royal Mail. The way to compete with click and drop isn’t to make snarky comments. Try offering a better service that’s above and beyond. And a viable alternative service for small businesses.

For now I’m not coming back. Trying to get some money changed today was the last straw. Either be the service you’re claiming to be or shut up shop. You’re wasting a shop space that could be used by a better post office.

Awful! I went to this post office to post a parcel. Thankfully there wasn't a queue however the lady behind.the counter was so engrossed in talking about herself to another customer that she didn't even notice I was there. In the end I was called across to the other counter on the left. I won't go there again. Shame they closed Midland Rd Post Office. You could count on good customer service and be served by people with manners!

I have been in Royston for over 40 years and try to support the local area.after visiting the Post office 3 time in the last month I will not be visiting again. The post office side was professional, however the lady that served me on 2 of the occasions, once for gas top up and once to return amazon parcels was nothing short of rude and condescending to me. I will not be using this post office again. What a shame. Customer excellence training required.

New owners, but just as useless. Went in to pick up a parcel to be told mail had not been, when asked when due told ' how long is a piece of string'. Finally establish they close at 12.30 today so went back, spent 20 minutes in the queue to be told it hadn't come with the mail (respite being redirected 4 days ago), and that they were behind. Why not say in first place, no apology... attitude is poor.
