Had to go from Strood today given engineering works. Signage is awful, parked my car, no ticket machines to pay for parking. Queued up at ticket office to be told I had to use the machine. Then had to queue to use the 1 machine available, then had to run back to car to put the ticket in there. In hindsight, wish I had parked on the street to save me £4 and the stress of trying to get the train. No info about this anywhere that I can see, just messages about you downloading a crappy app to pay, which I don't want to do.

This is a major transfer station where one can hope on UK's fastest train though it is not big. It is fairly convenient, well marked and well maintained.

I was just at the train station and there was a blonde lady (in her 50’s) I’ve never seen before there (I travel 5 days a week) and my train was on the platform, I was trying to speak to her as I needed to get through quicker and I needed help. She didn’t even face to look at me and said kept saying what train when I had said the Maidstone on repetitively & the one that’s on the platform but she was too busy fixing the ticket machine at the station when no one else was there.

I ended up just leaving because she was so unhelpful.
