Abysmal - waited 20 minutes and no one arrived at counter. Person serving at shop counter advised that he didn’t know how to operate the mail counter and that his colleague was on a break, but couldn’t say when he would return.
Another customer gave up after 10 minutes, but as I don’t have a local post office in my area 10 miles away I thought I’d wait.
I finally had to leave after 20 minute.
Atrocious lack of consideration for customers wanting to use Royal Mail.
So another journey tomorrow to the next post office out the opposite direction, and another eighteen miles round trip.
Strathaven Post Office is located in a busy petrol station/mini market but can’t cope with providing a service to those wanting to use the service of Royal Mail.

Worst customer service ever , very rude ...when they don't know how to complete a service they will say that they don't do it at that office or that the post office don't do it ( after at least five minutes of fumbling around) . They claim that royal mail special delivery and parcel force 24 hour is the same thing ? They put stuff through wrong and refuse to fix it. They even "shood" me out the door once when I mentioned ( very politely ) that they had charged me for the wrong service.
I know many people that refuse to use it and travel to east kilbride / Hamilton just to avoid the Strathaven branch !

Drove 5 miles to return a package to find post office had closed early.said to them you are meant to be open till 3,grinned at and said we closed early,not amusing in the slightest
