Could not recommend any utility company less. If I could give them 0 stars I would.
Students of 2026, I thoroughly recommend that you contact Octopus energy, virgin/BT, and your local water company to set up a contract instead.
Not only is your (extortionate) price with split the bills subject to change, but their customer service team will frequently relay incorrect information to you.
It is at the point of bringing in external legal help.
Every customer service member I have spoken to has been rude, condescending and downright wrong.
I would thoroughly suggest you save your pennies, time and energy by going with any other bill company.
I have been with every student bill company over 4 years and have never encountered problems such as this.

Do not go with this company, me and my 2 other flatmates have been waiting for internet for over two weeks now, in which we are still paying for, after numerous unhelpful emails, the router is still unable to be tracked and delivered. Company and the customer service is abhorrent and absolutely pathetic.

would not recommend at all!! myself and my partner were advised to use this company for our gas, electric, water, and wifi bill. we paid over £600 and were left for over three months without wifi. we contacted them multiple times as we were students and had to pay extortionate amounts extra to our phone companies to hotspot our laptops off our phones and the issue was never resolved despite multiple promises over the months and promises of compensation. we were never compensated and had to pay a further £150+ to leave them and deal with the utility companies ourselves. yet they are still bombarding me with messages and emails of their student “offers” despite treating us with utter distain. would advise others, especially students, to go elsewhere.

Not helpful at all when we got sent bills from Octopus Energy even though we were paying them. Contacted customer services many times who told us to ignore the bills. Octopus threatened us with Bailiffs and Split the Bills refused to contact them or send us our transcripts of payed for bills to prove that we were paying. You get a bot response to 90% of emails and when you get a real person they don’t help. Also more expensive than just paying your bills directly so wouldn’t recommend at all

would give 0 stars if i could. completely unhelpful in getting our wifi box to us on time. snarky rude horrible staff, insinuating that we’re idiots, as if we don’t know they’re not the internet provider. just a mess to be quite honest, need a better system for answering emails because we keep being in contact with different people that are saying different things to us when all we want to know is when we’re getting our wifi box because we signed up in advance of our move in, it’s been two weeks now and we still have nothing and no refund for the wifi we haven’t been able to use because they’re useless.

STB provide a very useful & easy service living in a shared student house. Bills are made hassle free & every interaction I’ve had with STB on the phone has been extremely pleasant/helpful/friendly!
