This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had with a DJ company so far. I won’t be purchasing again unless this is resolved quickly—I’m fed up with having to chase a refund.

I placed two online orders over the weekend, both listed as in stock. I paid for next-day delivery on one and standard on the other. I sent several emails on Monday with no response. It’s now Wednesday, and I’m still getting no reply by email and no one is answering the phone.

At this point, I just want the refund processed and the issue resolved.

The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced....
If something appears as “available” on their website—it’s a L. I . E !!!

I had a venue launch scheduled for Thursday, 3rd April. To ensure everything would arrive on time, I specifically asked if the order could be delivered by 3rd april. I was assured multiple times—with repeated “yes, yes, yes”—that it would arrive on time.

I even offered to pay extra for next-day delivery, which they refused, saying they don't offer that service. I then placed the order, confirmed again about the delivery date, and was reassured. We contacted them three separate times before purchasing just to triple-check.

Then, on the day of the launch, nothing arrived.
Their excuse? The “supplier” had an issue with the order.

As a result, I had to hire moving heads last-minute for the event, which cost me an arm and a leg, plus additional labor to install and remove them. I now have to do the same again this weekend—out of my own pocket.

It's now been 11 working days ( 15days ) , and I still haven’t received my order. I haven't even been sent a tracking number.

I followed up again and received no response to two emails. Finally, I got a message from Devon saying:

“This has been sent directly from the supplier to yourself.
We are awaiting tracking to see where this currently is, as the suppliers have told us this has been shipped to you.”

So here we are.
Terrible service. Incompetent staff. Completely unacceptable. excuses excuses ....

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM SIMPLY SOUND & LIGHTING!!! Unless you want to receive second hand previously owned products. I purchased a gigbar move from these guys. Box absolutely battered upon delivery, scratches on the units its self and the casing had rips on the inside!! Was informed by staff that this must have slipped through there b stock products on the suppliers end. Which is a massive lie they have tried to sell me a second hand scratched unit for the same price as if it was brand new. I could probably guarantee you all of the products purchased through simply sound and lighting have been previously owned!!!!
