Generally had a decent experience with Shurgard Woolwich certainly their staff are very good and conscientious hence 3 stars.

However Shurgard has to deal with the pest issue. I came to take my things out of storage yesterday and discovered I had had a mice infestation.

The manager was quick to get me the form to make an insurance claim and emailed all the additional info I would need.

Will now have to go through the process of making a claim, clean and disinfect what I can and bin the rest which includes my mattress.

There is a reason they DON’T allow you to store food in their units!

I came in to check in on my storage on 21/6/25 after having spent 18 months in Australia and having unfortunately lost my keys. I met Bret at the reception who was absolutely fantastic and not only did he help me get access to the storage facility but also provided me with a new lock and key. And all this was done within 10 minutes. However, he did verify all my details including checking my passport before allowing me access to the storage which was commendable. He was working alone on a hot summer day and still had a pleasant and cheerful demeanour. I was really nervous as I had lost the keys but thanks to Bret, my visit to the storage facility was seamless and super easy.

Had a really fantastic experience renting a locker here. Very clean and tidy facility. Easy access to the site using mobile app. Top notch customer service. They even waived the lock drilling fee when I lost my key.

Shurgard have a severe mice infestation which they fail to disclose to customers.

it smells potent of rat/ mice urine upon entry of level 2 which indicates the severity of the infestation in which they clearly aren’t managing.

All of my things are contaminated and ruined some of which cannot be replaced. Very disappointing, i would highly avoid storing your things here!
