I recently rented a storage unit here and had an excellent experience from start to finish. Jafar, Rohan, and Alex were incredibly helpful and professional throughout the entire process. They answered all my questions, made the paperwork quick and easy, and took the time to show me the unit and explain everything clearly.

The facility itself is clean, secure, and well-maintained, with easy access and good lighting. I really appreciate the customer service — it’s rare to find a team that’s this friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this storage location if you’re looking for a smooth and stress-free experience!

Worst storage service ever! Google lists their opening hours as until 9 PM on weekdays, but when I arrived at 7:15 PM yesterday, the storage facility was already closed. I wasn’t the only one, two other people were also waiting to access their unit.

I called customer service, and the representative said he would transfer me to the manager, only to disconnect the call. Despite multiple attempts, no one answered.

This isn’t the first time this has happened, and to make matters worse, I had traveled nearly two hours to get there!

I had a lil bit of issue with my unit, and Boris from Shugard Camden came down to Kingscross storage and helped me change to different one. Everything was perfectly& quickly sorted out, and he was super friendly and helpful. Great experience! Storage itself was easily accessible, there were trolleys which were really helpful, I’d recommend

This review is now being updated due to the unhelpful and unprofessional customer services that i have experienced recently.

For the most part, Shurgard is offering a good service where clients can access their lockers with ease. The locker itself is good.

Unfortunately, I've had a recent problem with my debit card and was unable to make payment on the due date as im waiting for a new card to arrive.

I contacted customer services and explained my problem only for the agent to hang up. On the second call, apparently, i had failed the security questions, which demonstrated to me that your staff are not filling in customer information correctly.

Shurgard refuses to use direct debits and refuses to accept cash at the branch, making it as difficult as possible to make payments.

Shurgard will only use Autopay, which is not a secure payment service.

During my time over the last year, Shurgard has been slowly increasing my rent charges, ill accept changes at the end of the financial year but not leading up to Christmas or new yr which is what this company does.

As a result, I've had to leave Shurgard and have found another locker elsewhere with better customer service.

Due to Shurgards' lack of understanding and professionalism, they have now lost a customer, lost a months rent, and now accumulated a negative review. All of this could've been avoided if staff did their jobs professional

This is an ideal and affordable self-store location in central London. I have been a tenant here for 8 years and wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. The property – just north of King’s Cross – offers a spacious interior loading bay (no worries re rain or parking wardens) with super-size lift for big items (furniture, workout equipment, frankly you could even fit a small car in here) together with a quick-access staircase to all floors when you want to drop-off or retrieve smaller possessions only. The premises – always clean – have been further spruced up since Shurgard took over in 2021, complete with extended hours and passcodes for early morning or evening entry. Most importantly, this is a company who believes in old-fashioned customer service and makes itself available for queries ranging from payment options to packing solutions to re-dimensioning options should you outgrow (or find you underutilize) your current locker. Rohan, Tony, Josh, Kapil and Annette (who staff the front desk which also doubles as a store for boxes, tape and bubble wrap) are most congenial while UK national manager Karen stepped in to assist with an bespoke term-of-tenancy request I had. The diversity of my “neighbors” (as in the folks renting units close to mine) – from students and small business owners to expatriates, travelers and folks in the midst of house or relationship moves – is its own testimony to the versatility (indeed, personality) of the place. In short, this is one of four storage units I maintain around the world and it is my favorite – you can’t go wrong by selecting a superb location with a solid team of professionals should you live in Central London and want high-end security together with hassle-free access to your belongings.
