Beware of Over Charges and Hidden Money Making Plan!
I want to aware all small businesses about Secured Mail so that they can’t fool others with hidden charges and small businesses can survive in the market. Please read the following information, it may help you if you are using Secured Mail Service or want to consider them in near future.
I have a small online selling business in UK and secured mail came to me with some postal service offers. Their offered rates were much cheaper than the Royal Mail for same services. After few discussions I accepted their offer and started their service for Large Letter and Parcel items.
I am a bit busy person so I informed in advance to Secured Mail that I don’t get enough time to check each invoices; therefore I had an agreement to inform me about any over format items immediately. Secured Mail confirmed that all my items were perfect format and no issues. Since then they never sent me any email or called me about the over-labelled charge. After 4 months I checked that they had taken extra £11,254.45 from my account. When I informed them immediately; no one came forward from Secured Mail to resolve the issue. As it was my hardworking money so I contacted them several ways. After few days their higher management started investigation, which was waste of time; in the meeting their higher management told me that “Secured Mail never informs to the customers about wrong format or relevant issues; they simply over-label and charge extra they decide”; which is completely unprofessional report. Instead of helping me; their higher manager was just trying to say that they are working as per their policy and they will not reveal any customer or parcel details. Later on I realized it was their pre-plan to make quick money. Secured Mail didn’t have any satisfactory answer for the issue I raised.
In the invoices lots of customer data didn’t match with my record and they were also unable to provide any evidence that why they charge my large letter items as a big parcel. They have also visited my warehouse several times but didn’t find any wrong format items. Moreover, my staffs are also well trained so there are no areas for mistake. At the end It was confirmed to me that Secured Mail’s all department was involved to take this extra money from me and it was their pre-plan that Secured Mail will offer cheap rate at the first stage and if any client accept their offer then they will start making quick money by their hidden plan and policies.
In primary search I found that secured mail has taken extra £11,254.45 from me in last 4 months; I am sure that if I go with more in details then maybe I will find more mess in the invoices. At the end their higher management offered me £1,000 refund only; but still they didn’t confirm yet that when they will return my rest of £10,254.45. Due to the trust issue, I have stopped using Secured Mail service and closed their account.
I have enough information and evidence for the each lines I have stated above; if anyone one need any evidence please let me know; certainly I will provide. Suggestion for small businesses, even royal mail price is bit higher than Secured Mail but Royal Mail never charges anything extra. Beware if you are still using Secured Mail service. Thanks.
