We booked a private snorkeling session with Lyndsay. She was an amazing guide and showed us a completely different side to the Isle of Carna. We spent the afternoon exploring a whole underwater world, teeming with life. Fantastic experience, will remember it for a long time!

We booked a private snorkeling trip with SeatrekScotland and it was phenomenal. Our guide was brilliant—super knowledgeable, friendly, and made us feel completely safe and confident in the water. I was worried about being cold, but the equipment they provide is fantastic and I was totally comfortable. The underwater scenery in the loch was surprisingly vibrant. Seeing the kelp forests and colourful starfish was a truly magical experience. The private tour meant we could take our time and ask loads of questions.

Had a brilliant 1-to-1 snorkel session with Lyndsay. She’s so full of knowledge about the marine environment and wildlife and has an infectious enthusiasm. Looking forward to booking-in with SeaTrekScotland again!

My family group (4 teens and 1 adult) had a great time snorkeling with Seatrek Scotland. Lyndsay was very knowledgeable and tailored the experience to suit our mixed swimming abilities. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend SeaTrek Scotland to anyone who wants an adventure in the water!

This was an absolute BLAST. A unique glimpse into Scotland beyond the normal touristy things; would absolutely do this again!

Saw all sorts of wildlife in the waters - jellyfish twice the size of your head, tons of crabs, sea urchins, starfish, jussies, everything! You also pass the ridiculously overrated Harry Potter train-aqueduct thing in the van on the way to the spot, so that's cool too.

The meet up, instructions and entire process was really clear as well. As long as you don't gulp sea water and bring dry clothes to wear afterwards, you're gonna have a fantastic time.

I had a fantastic sea trekking experience based out of Fort William. Never having heard of the activity before I was apprehensive about whether I would be cope. Most of my communications were by email, but once I had spoken to Huw, I felt very reassured that whatever we did, it would be tailored to whatever ability I was at and I had no more worries.

The trip out to the coastal site (west of Fort William) was very comfortable in the dedicated smart windowed transporter van they use. Kitting up at the site was no big problem and I never felt rushed to do anything, even with the struggles I have with putting on a wetsuit (and I do struggle with those things!). I enjoyed learning about the activity and ecology of the places we trekked and swam across. The use of the floating spearfishing bags to carry your lunch and dry clothes (for the final trek back) is great. Brilliant idea.

At various critical points, Huw focused on giving clear instructions on kit, or the next part of the activity we were about to do and safety points. I felt confident he was assessing my skills and abilities as we hiked, swam and snorkelled across the changing terrain. The wetsuits provided are comfortable and perfectly warm for the waters.

If you like the countryside; if your like snorkelling and marine life; if you have an interest in marine biology / ecology; if you like to have an active part to your day and seeing the mountains in the distance from the sea level... book a spot.

Was there anything I did not enjoy? No.
Was I captivated by the whole activity? Yes.
Would I recommend doing this activity Totally!!! : )

Fabulous snorkelling seatrek at the start of May, with an inspiring and knowledgeable guide in Lyndsay and awesome scenery above and below water. Nothing to fear, fab kit and great wet suits to keep you warm (enough!). Go for it!
