Used this tip today to remove 5+ car loads of rubbish from a deceased relative. Kenny on duty was absolutely superb in ensuring we had no difficulties in accessing the site to do what we needed to do. The next day he was there on duty and waved us through , allowing us to use the facilities unhindered at a very difficult time. Was there at lunchtime today, the site was the busiest I have seen it. While waiting for a space I was briefly chatting to one of the guys who works there. Mentioned in a jokey way that I was rubbish at parking and he went out of his way to make sure I got a space with no stress involved. Really nice guy and a credit to the council. Thank you again!

Always use this recycling centre and was there last week in my campervan, 2 days in a row. The booking system works really well and there was no fuss when we were 10 minutes early one of the days.
I always find the guys friendly and really helpful, directing us where to put stuff if we are unsure. When I asked, one of the guys confirmed that the non recyclable waste goes to Millerhill for electricity, not landfill which is great.

Can only go in a van between 8-10am. Like seriously. You hire a van at 8am and with Edinburgh traffic and just to go home and get the item to be told you cannot offload your recycling/garden waste because it’s only between 8-10. WHATS THE POINT? It’s open until 5pm!!! Get your act together Edinburgh Council 😡 place was deserted also no one was there… shocking time scale

1st visit using appointment booking and since access and layout changes.
No issues getting in or finding a parking space & the staff were very helpful to ensure recycling dropped in the correct areas.

Use to be great but since the recent redevelopment its chaos. I've been using this facility all my life and I have never had to queue. Now since the revamp I've been sitting in a queue of traffic on both my recent visits. Who thought an entrance/exit on seafield road was a good idea?
