This branch STEAL CASH MONEY from people. It has happened to me twice now when I have been depositing small amounts of money into my account. The Indian woman today stole £30 pounds from my cash deposit and the Indian man stole £10 a couple of months or so ago. I counted the money right before I gave them the money to be told by them that I am mistaken and I have given them less money. ALL LIES ! I am 100% sure of the amount of money I gave her because I counted them twice seconds before I gave them to her. The incident with the man I gave it a benefit of the doubt first but as this is now happening for a second time at this branch it is crystal clear that they steal money from people. I have never had this problem anywhere else I have deposited money. I frequently deposit small amounts of cash from selling secondhand personal items.
Furthermore last year I sent my old passport for a renewal using this branch and they have lost my passport. The Home Office has never received it which let to lots of issues in receiving my new passport and it took early two months because of them losing or not sending my old passport at all to the Home Office.
I strongly advise you to STAY AWAY FROM THIS BRANCH !

EXTREMELY POOR STAFF, Do Not Go Too....

mother in law went in to get her driving licence  renewed and the elderly female that was serving was extremitly rude from the onset, she demanded my mother in law to return at which took about 40 mins and when returning she was told to wait once more because she the surver was not ready again untill the male survey returned...

whilst waiting the female survey assumed another customer said something to which she was extremely rude and verbally aggressive to not only my mother in law but a few other customers in the store.. 3 other customers back up my mother in law saying nothing was said but the female survey refused to accept this and continued the barrage  of abuse for around 10 minutes..

she was extremely un professional and is a extremely poor representation of the royal post office.

We will NEVER return to this branch because of the attitude a behaviour of that surverr. I they deal with this inappropriate behaviour.

Went to get my driving licence renewed at this branch as on the Royal Mail website it stated it does, and had specifically travelled to this scruffy dirty branch, parcels all over the floor because it offered this service. After waiting 15 minutes to get to the front of the queue, the rude old employee (who one bloke referred to as ‘Auntie’) didn’t even look at me and demanded I come back at 13:30. I was there at 13:07! When I stated that the Royal Mail website doesn’t have these times reflected, her response was ‘the Royal Mail website doesn’t have a lot of things stated!’.
This women was totally unprofessional, and a really poor reflection on the Royal Mail! Nothing Royal about that branch! Absolute joke!
Women like this ‘Auntie’ are reasons I use InPost and other postal services! I only went to the joke of a branch because no other branch locally does this service! Travelled all the way into Reading town centre to use the branch in the Butts Centre. Lovely quick service, greeted a by charming young man. He could teach horrid old Auntie a thing or two about customer service and manners!!

Charmless. Absolutely charmless. Working with the general public does mean that you should at least have some degree of empathy and actually seem to enjoy your job and want to interact with people with some degree of politeness. Charmless. Absolutely charmless.

Always use school Road post office for change and depositing money for my business since all the banks decided to close in Tilehurst. Always find Steph, Candy and all staff courteous and efficient. Always happy to see me as I am them as they provide a great service for me and my business, would honestly be lost without them as they are so important for my and other local small businesses.

Just wanted to leave a review about the staff at the School Road branch, Every week I have to go into the branch to pay in cash, Multiple times over the last year alone I give them the cash that I have counted and sorted before going into the branch to be told I miss counted and there is MORE money there, I am personally very thankful to them and appreciate there honesty, Thank you to the staff for looking after me.

Mr Birose at the post office was very patience & kind to me as I went in to do in branch document verification. The shop was nearly at close time but he went above & beyond to help solve my problem, even calling his manager on the phone. Thank you
