Since moving to Blyth, I've had to make a complaint about a delivery driver being so rude to me. Then today I've been home waiting for my parcel and just noticed a slip through the door, no knock or ringing of the bell or nothing. Tried to call them to see if I could collect tomorrow as I really need the parcel but no answer.
What's the point of having open times and a contact number if nobody answers it?
I dread every delivery that says its arriving by royal mail, just bad attitudes and terrible service.

As with all other reviews... Opening hours are SHOCKING. Good luck picking up a parcel if you work. Once you get in to the delivery office prepare to WAIT. The poor guy behind the counter was trying to deal with a customer call and serve people, check their ID and issue parcels all at once, I know I'd be telling Royal Mail where to stick it if if that were me. Why they can't get with the rest of the world and install amazon like lockers I don't know, the place looks so dated and unkept inside too.

Rang up today to track down a parcel that was said to have been delivered on the 7th. They were able to confirm the delivery was delivered to a different address. Not their fault as the sender had incorrectly put my house number down wrong. 10 minutes after the call, parcel in my hand. Many thanks for your help and excellent service.

Opening hours are ridiculous to collect any parcels. Went to collect a parcel for my partner who couldn't go. Brought my driving licence for I.D. just to be turned away DESPITE the address being the same as on the ticket. Best the staff could do was re-arrange the delivery even though they would be delivering it to ME as my partner would STILL be at work for the rest of the week. Waste of my time!!!!

Royal mail say they have delivered a parcel to my house. I was in the house at the time and day of the alleged delivery, no knock on the door nothing yet it has been recorded that the parcel was delivered. I checked the times of the depot opening so I could go and see about it. Times stated 8-1 Monday to Saturday. When I got there a tatty notice on the door states open 7-9am on certain days. I now have to walk down again in the morning to try and find out what they have done with my parcel. This is not something I am looking forward to as I am over 70 years of age.
Went back to the depot the next day to enquire about the undelivered parcel. The manager will check and ring me regarding this problem, that was Tuesday 19th to date not heard from them. All the tracking will show is I received this parcel which I didn't. Have tried ringing on a few occasions but as I expected no answer. No wonder they are advertising for staff!!!!!!

Ridiculously bad, never just leaves the parcel in a safe place or with a neighbour. Always makes you come to the centre to collect and the opening hours are just stupid.

Update - took a parcel back to the depot Saturday before Christmas rather than leaving with a neighbour. Too easy for drivers just to stick it back in the van. Closed Sunday and at work Christmas eve don't know what I'm supposed to do. Terrible service

As with most previous reviews, the place is not open at the advertised times for collection.
As for actual doorstep deliveries, the posties have clearly been trained to open gates, but have yet to take the gate closing course, without fail leaving our two gates open, makes the place look unoccupied. Nice one postie.

Parcels used to be left in a safe place but now if I am not in, or do not hear them knock on the door they are now returned to the depot. Why the change? Never had so many problems with Royal Mail than I have since Christmas
