Romford Argos (Inside Sainsbury's) - Romford

The manager of the Argos store in Romford, a very rude woman, refused to exchange the item I bought just a few hours ago. She was rude, insisting that there was nothing wrong with the kettle and that she wouldn’t exchange it. It was as if she was blind and couldn’t see that it was rusty inside. Terrible service!

Visited before Xmas for an online order so expected it might be busy, but didn’t expect such a huge queue to collect. It stretched all the way out of Argos, out of Sainsbury’s and half way across the Brewery lobby. 2 staff members to deal with the entire queue, and each one had to go out the back for a few minutes at a time to retrieve the order. Took around 40 minutes in all to collect a few small pre-paid items.

Don't use this branch if you can. Paid £70 for a 4k firestick and they gave me the lite version instead. On asking them, they told me that the label was right and this was all they could give me. Told them the label has been removed and stuck back on but they refused any help. Looks like someone on the inside is swapping labels and selling expensive items to their mates on the cheap and handing off cheap items to unsuspecting customers.

Tried escalating, but no help at all. Returned item and bought elsewhere.

I paid 30 pounds for an order and then returned it and asked them to order another one because things were missing items in that one, the next day I come and they tell me that I need to pay 30 pounds again for the order

The worst customer service I have ever encountered. The store manager lied to us that my item was returned and processed where was not !! Avoid this place !

Done click and collect but still kept me waiting 20 mins. Old lady working there is very rude. To top things off cost 3.75 for the parking. Avoid this Argos.

Argos collection process is crap instead of sending an email/text that my 2 items that I ordered were ready... No I receive loads of seperate text/emails to collect items seperately only problem I asked my son to collect them and sent the last text that stupid argos sent to me so that resulted in 1 item being picked up. How dumb are these people that create these websites for these stupid company such as Argos. You obviously don't care about your customers experience on your site cos it has been like this for years come on argos keep up or get left behind thanks for costing me double trips 12 miles round trip now doubled to 24 miles in this cost of living crisis what a load of rubbish.

I have shopped in this store for several years and never had any problems. I always found the staff helpful and cannot fault them. My most recent experience was on 2 November 23, when I purchased a dishwasher and arranged for Argos to do everything: delivery, installation and disposal of my old machine. Everything was perfect. In the first place, the lady who served me was lovely, competent and professional. She sorted the transaction and arranged for the machine to be delivered and sorted the next day, 3 November. The delivery guys were brilliant, arriving when they should, took all the time they needed and did not leave until they were one hundred per cent certain that all was as it should be and the dishwasher plumbed in correctly etc. I can recommend this store without hesitation.
