I used Riverside Taxis yesterday to go to a family wedding. We had 3 trips during the day and evening, drivers arrived well on time for each trip, were polite and happy to assist us with the car seats needed for our 2 grandchildren. I would happily recommend their services.

Got charged £40 (payable in advance) for return journey from Hunters Rest in Clutton to friends' wedding in Pensford (less than 3 miles each way - 6 miles in total).

Mix up on my part re:wedding location did mean we spent an additional 15-20 mins trying to locate wedding venue.

Left a phone in the taxi - called office less than 1 minute after getting dropped off - got charged an additional £10 to bring it back.

Despite being told earlier that we could rearrange the time of return trip if wedding party finished earlier than the booked return journey - when I called to rearrange was eventually told would have to wait another 2 hours.

Controller (Lynne I believe) answering calls hung up on me twice when trying to reschedule return journey - and then subsequently blocked my mobile.

Thus left potentially outside in the rain post wedding unable to confirm whether or not taxi was coming in 90 mins-2 hours to collect us for a journey already paid for.

In short an extortionate £50 for one (admittedly longer than expected) journey and the rudest service from taxi firm I've ever encountered - and I live in London...

Special positive mention to taxi driver Kerry was polite and accommodating.

Special negative mention to Lynne answering the phone (well initially at least) for disgracefully exploiting out of town folk needing to get to a wedding; her shocking regard for customer safety or simply honouring an already paid for service - perhaps her conscience and/.or karma will prevail...

Lynne - as you eventually admitted before cutting me off the second time, even after charging £30 for the first (and only journey) £10 for returning the mobile phone - I'm still owed £10 credit - plus the fact that I had to organise alternative transport back to Clutton, given you had blocked my number...

You have my number should wish to do the right thing, if not... well, that would be some seriously shocking , shoddy and some might feel fraudulent service provision on your part.

This review's solitary star was wholly earned by Kerry - nevertheless I cannot recommend this firm...for somewhat obvious and indeed n multiple reasons.

First class service, my car was off the road for 2 days, Riverside Taxis provided transport for me to go to work. Polite and courteous on the phone, taxis arrived on time and all 3 drivers extremely friendly. What more can you ask for. Will use again without hesitation. Thankyou.

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!!
Pre booked a taxi for midnight. Didn’t turn up, rung them, said they would be 10 mins. After the allocated time, rung again, to get a response from a very unaccomadating women who suggested our taxi was 5 minutes away. She then went on to say my tone was not acceptable for a doctors surgery, which she then spoke to me in an appropriate tone, so I reversed the question: would you speak to your doctor like that - her response was your taxi will not be coming
As a result we are now stranded and I will never use this taxi service again. Absolutely awful.

I was worried to book because of negative reviews I had read on here but these guys were great! I called to change the pick up time and that was no trouble. The driver arrived bang on time and was helpful and friendly and then they collected us later in the evening again right on time. No problems at all. Great guys.

Ordered a taxi with my friend for our first time out in quite a while booked a taxi to go over which showed up on time when speaking on the phone to lyn to book also asked to book a taxi home and she said they don't book taxis from the high street but someone would be there, was waiting outside and a group who had been waiting for over half an hour said there was no sign of taxis, the one that did arrive had been booked by someone(same conpany). contradicting and rather rude on the phone wouldn't recommend this company at all will not be using again. Partner had to wake up and drive down whilst he was Ill to pick me and my friend up.
