Barn Road Post Office and store is the best, such friendly helpful staff always with a smile.

Whilst small it has a lot packed in with fresh bakery on a Saturday and selection of plants outside. Don’t confuse with Brighton Road Post Office which has a very different customer service.

Purley post office has Poor customer care. Went there at 12:45 on Saturday but the post office guy didn’t let me in because it shuts at 1 pm. There were 4 more customers waited outside in freezing cold along side me. I left to Riddle down post office which opens until 4:00 Rang them to find its timing and to my surprise got pick up after few ring tones on Saturday. It is small shop but have friendly attitude towards customer. Highly recommended.

Top notch post office

I go out of my way to visit this post office. The extremely friendly and accomodating staff go out of their way to make posting items a pleasant experience.

Easy to pop by whether by foot, bicycle (leave it outside) or by car (lots of parking spaces outside).

As well as postage, a great place to pick up some milk, groceries including fresh bread and even samosas (which I think are restocked on a weekly basis).

little post office with office stationery and grocery shop together.
the guy at the till is always helpful. good for locals or otherwise the nearest is on Purley High Street.
Parking is available on the front road, close to the Riddlesdown railway station.

Always have great customer service here when needing to send packages. They’ve also been great in delivering newspapers to my grandparents. So great that we have such a nice and well run post office so close to our house.

My rating is based on the fact they quickly answered the phone on a Saturday and knew that the priority postbox outside had a last collection time of 4pm. That is not rocket science but they were open when others were closed and it was critically important at the time to have the information within minutes. All this just used to be normal business practice. It's become exceptional business practice today. Which seems troubling...
