Avoid This Scam of a Company at All Costs – A Disgraceful Experience
We are absolutely disgusted and appalled by the shockingly poor level of service we received yesterday.

From the outset, we enquired about a full service move, including packing and dismantling. We were quoted a fixed cost of £654.50 for the entire process. After reviewing the appalling reviews about this dishonest company, I called to clarify and ensure we wouldn’t face any issues. The representative assured me everything would proceed smoothly. How wrong they were!

I contacted my son during the move for an update, only to be informed that in three hours, the movers had only dismantled the bed. This was for a two-bedroom house, and they had the audacity to send just two people to handle the entire move. The lack of urgency, professionalism, and pace from these individuals was beyond belief.

When I called their office to demand additional support, I was told I’d need to pay extra charges for help—despite being promised full service at the start. To make matters worse, I was informed the service was only for 6.5 hours, not for the entire move as originally agreed. Adding insult to injury, they unilaterally increased the cost of the move to a staggering £840, even without additional workers, citing "unexpected workload." This was an outrageous and unjustified price hike.

The situation deteriorated to the point where I had to involve the police, as one of their so-called movers threatened to drive off with my belongings.

Take my advice: stay as far away from this cowboy company as possible. They are nothing more than scam artists and will rob you blind.

If you are thinking about it - DO NOT use this company, I TOTALLY regretted using them and I should have listened to the negative reviews on here and on trustpilot.

They will offer you cheaper prices before the move to secure your booking like they did me and on the day of the move, it was beyond disappointing and stressful - they sent a 16 year old with no prior moving experience alongside another man to do my move and they kept asking me to pay in bits before they finish my move as if I was going to run away with the money. They have my things in their van and they will say pay this amount before we unload and go pack the rest of the items, wasting time so that I will pay more - all they care about is money and on the day, I ended up paying way more than expected and planned for - I was considering another removal company and I should have used them instead as as I ended up paying way more than the other company offered for the move. My brother had to step in to carry items, they were so unprofessional and I was so upset on the day that my brother literally saved the day for me.

Secondly, upon unloading the items at my new place, they damaged my wardrobe and work desk and did not say a word and just left. I emailed them to report this since September and I was the one chasing constantly for updates, they did not respond to my emails - they did not want to pay for the damaged items - their complaint process is very disappointing. After weeks of chasing and chasing, they only agreed to pay £20 for a work desk I bought for over £80 and for the wardrobe asked me to get quotes which I did and they agreed to pay for the cheapest quote which I believe has expired as they have received to pay the agreed amount for over a month - they said payment will take 2 to 4 weeks after asking for my account details - it’s been over a month and they still have not paid for the damaged items.

We are now in December - I sent them an email on Monday but they ignored it and I have just sent another one 4 days later. Do not use them, they will give you nothing but headache and stress - go with a more professional, trustworthy and customer focused removal company instead.

Removals zone, can you pay me for the damaged items as agreed, it’s been over a month and now you are refusing to respond to my emails and I am the one now chasing you again after chasing several times since September to resolve the issue - this is December and you have refused to pay so I can get my wardrobe fixed, the door is hanging off the hinges and it is a safety hazard and I have a baby at home.

I regret using your services - I repeat, DO NOT use them for your own peace of mind - it has been a frustrating and disappointing experience with them - they don’t care about customers or putting things right - when they damage your items, they don’t want to pay for them after saying they are insured in the first place.

Happy with both works done.
First time, we contracted dismantling and assembling services. There was a slight damage in a furniture piece, which Removals Zone agreed to deduct from the service charged.
Second time, it was just moving our properties. No issues at all.

I recently utilized Removals Zone for my move, having selected them among 10 offers. I didn't have a lot of belongings, and I had packed everything on my own, so I've chosen this company given the reasonable price provided and flexibility with service.

The movers (Martin and Rolan) were punctual and approached the task with efficiency. Despite I had all packed everything myself, they still took great care in handling my belongings.

Removals Zone were responsive, accommodating in communication. Despite the simplicity of my move, they treated it with the same level of care and attention as a larger operation.

Highly recommend if you seek for the stress-free and straightforward moving.

If you’re considering Removals Zone, think twice (or better, don’t think at all—just choose another company). My experience was beyond disappointing, bordering on disastrous.

To begin with, they left me with damaged furniture, covered in scratches and dents that weren’t there before. It didn’t end there—the walls and paintwork in my new home were marred and scuffed from their “professional” moving. And calling this a team would be generous: it was barely two people, one of whom seemed to do all the heavy lifting while the other was the “cash collector,” lurking to hike up the price at the last moment. Their initial quote? Don’t count on it; the price doubled on the day without for very flimsy reason, but they count on the stress and the pressure on the day.

But the worst part? Items were lost or potentially stolen, and despite their claim of having insurance, it’s evident this is just a hollow promise. I reached out multiple times for help, and the have a flimsy excuse and then ignored me. It’s clear this company doesn’t care about their customers, or their belongings.

Save yourself the stress, the damage, and the extra expense. Avoid Removals Zone at all costs.

Terrible experience.

Booked for midday slot and the day before was phoned to be advised that they would arrive between 12 and 1pm - this was not made clear at the point of booking. They arrived about 12:30

The people who came to do the work were fine, if a little unmotivated and one seemed to chain smoke through the job. I felt like I did most of the work.

They then damaged two record cabinets by sliding them across the ground instead of lifting them using trucks and then claimed not to be liable as the damage is less than £150 worth.

They insisted on the bulk of the payment in cash to the drivers, which I suspect is to avoid tax and then the drivers do not have change.

Appalling customer service.
I used Removals Zone for my move 2.5 weeks ago, and the two men who came were very friendly, polite and professional. However, 3 items - a monitor and some furniture - were broken/damaged during transport. I immediately provided Removals Zone with pictures and details of the items. Since then, I have emailed and called them numerous times, and each time I am told that the person responsible for claims is unavailable and will call me back. They claim to be fully insured, so I don’t understand why it is taking them so long to resolve this issue, and they seem to be simply ignoring me. I feel as though I have been scammed, but I won’t give up.

UPDATE: after calling them every other day and sending an indecent number of emails, they eventually agreed to refund me £80 in compensation for three broken/damaged items worth over £650 in total. I gave them my bank details three weeks ago and still haven’t received any payment.

The worst removal company we have EVER used, do not use them as they are scammers. I spoke to someone on the phone and had a video call to show them everything that we had, to which they said it could all be done in 4 hours including taking down and putting the bed back up and provided a reasonable price so we booked. However, the day of the move they refused to take our TV’s which I had to call my brother out or work so we could use his van to help (the removal men also made us take other items other than the TV’s) they were extremely slow and took 4 hours just load the van, this included us having to help with moving boxes etc. It was almost as if our move was an inconvenience to them… sorry but that is your job?
Once we got on the road, their office called to say that the 4 hours had ended and there would be an additional charge, also £15 extra to take our items up the stairs at the new house… therefore to save time we had to take our furniture upstairs ourselves to save on the cost. Do not be fooled by the cheap quote they give you because that’s not what it will be at the end of your move. Half way through unloading the stuff, one of the guys demanded we pay them in cash and wouldn’t take no for an answer when we said we pay at the end.
What is a stressful day already; was made even more stressful because of this company. When we spoke to their office, whoever we spoke to was extremely rude to us and clearly has no customer service skills.
Please do not waste your time using this company, they are unprofessional and money scammers, they know what they are doing in trying to charge you so much more. We were quoted £350 and ended up paying £620.
