I live in a small village between Downham Market and King's Lynn.
The peace is destroyed by these jets flying overhead. Usually one every 10-15 minutes. I was woken up today at 07:50. And have now been listening to the same plane circling our village for 30 minutes now. When they come over at full chat they literally shake the house. Keep us awake at night. Stop us from doing trivial things like listening to the radio, watching tv, even having conversations. You can't hear what you're trying to listen to.
Do you enjoy listening to nature, the birds singing etc. Well, forget it. Everything is engulfed and drowned out by the exhausts of these planes.
Every day, over and over and over and over again.
I hate it.
They simply don't care. Ruining our lives every day.
Go fly over the sea.

Thank you for keeping us safe. People are ignorant if they complain about noise. What else would you expect living near an RAF base? They'd probably complain living near an airport too.

Some 1 star reviews mention the noise, seriouslyπŸ™„, fighter aircraft are noisy, don't live near an operational RAF base if you don't want noise.....Me personally I appreciate the fact that these boys and girls need to train, and doing the same thing over and over again means they get better at what they do, ( flying circuits ) the keep us safe and protected, they're doing there job, so us mere mortals can enjoy our everyday lives in peace knowing we have these boys and girls as our protectors. Thank you RAF.

Great base! Was staying in wells next to sea and decided to head down to RAF Lakenheath and then Marham. As soon as we arrived (11:30) there was lots of tornado and F-35 activity taking place. Recommended fur photography and Aviation enthisats.

It’s a world war 2 type base with F35s and punitive food rationing in the main galley

Avoid if you like remaining sane

Go up
