Short: got 50% more stuff for less money than Wickes and it was delivered.

Longer: Very helpful staff. Got advised what I needed and he took me around to see the stock, showed me the roof battens and even measured them to double check the sizing.
Advised on delivery (next day!). In and out in under 10mins

Easy to get to, helpful staff came out to inform me as I was leaving, out of stock rock salt would be replenished in half hour which was half hour before closing! I returned and got some 🙂 Thanks and for the help loading into my car, helped my sore back on the mend !👌

I have been a customer of Cheshire Building Supplies many times now and they have never let me down. Stock is comprehensive and priced well. My latest order (yesterday) arrived and I was chuffed and quite touched when the driver remembered that we were isolating for our younger son (Covid 19 extreme risk) and so had commenced unloading as I have requested with previous orders without knocking and risking contact. Trade or not, the team is always courteous on the phone or in person and transactions are pleasant and efficient. Delivery is always prompt and accommodating where at all possible. A smashing company I feel very lucky to have on my doorstep. Thank you.

Came to Cheshire Building Supplies for the good reviews.

I was looking to spend around £300 on some gravel, but had a really small area to work with for delivery.

First call: No answer

Second try: Got a price for what I wanted, no charge for delivery. "Great, thanks a lot"

Then I called back to ask if I could get the two parts of he order in seperate deliveries and just pay a delivery charge for the second. I also wanted to check the price for getting the gravel loose, which I didn't have.

"Hello, sorry to trouble you again", I say and explain what I'd like to do.

"No, you can't, it's the system!"

I said, "Yes, although either way you've got to deliver here once though, so could you just charge me for the second delivery, it'd really help me out?"

"So no darling. We'll charge you for two deliveries at £40"

"And haven't I already given you these prices?" She says. I can tell I'm p**sing her off calling for a second time.

Brilliant service. Very helpful and understanding. I messed up my measurements and delivery times .both times they helped without a problem.also gave some brill advice which saved me time and money.will definitely use for all future needs ...steve /danny/Julia thank you again

Went for some advice/to buy some stones I wanted for my garden as already have some and wanted to match them. I had brought a couple stones with me, to literally be told "nope, don't do anything like that" even though I had seen something I could potentially match on display, so I point this out, to then be told "I've already sold all them". I then asked when might they be back I stock or could they get some more in? To then get the answer "don't know, not for a while though".
We got to the point that we couldn't be bothered asking for anymore help about anything else we came for because the answers were so blunt and unhelpful. It's fine if they were all sold out but just some actual customer service or any other recommendations/help or even just some general politeness would have gone a long way.
Given 3 stars, but feel thats generous for my experience but that was only one member of staff and other seemed friendly enough and they do seem to have a reasonable amount of decent other stock.
