If there is any drawback, it will be the near one hour drive from Glasgow. But this is the few places that I think I will keep coming back. Half day trip is not enough. The recommended hiking rout start from the hotel. At the main road facing the hotel, turn left, you will soon see steps leading downward. Follow it and walk along the cannel, there will be wild flower path well maintained by Scottish Wildlife Trust. Follow the path keep right, you will come to Bonnington power station. This path run uphill and will bring you to Falls of Clyde. And finally took you to Bennington weir almost one hour since you've departed. You can now return or cross the weir and walk downstream, however, it will be another 3.5 miles before you get any chance crossing the river. I choice to go back, but still not getting enough time exploring the town. So come as early as possible. Best start your walk at 10.

Scam ice cream. £2.80 but no cones just small tubs and all you get is the tiniest teeniest ice cream a small hollow scoop which covered just a third of the tub if that! Caramel fudge no fudge pieces in. 3 small spoons N gone biggest rip of ever avoid. Want a refund. Disgusting ripping people off

We visited here to have a coffee and some hot chocolate. We found that there was plenty of seating, toilets and lots of food and drinks on offer. We are particularly impressed with the staff were friendly and nothing was too much bother for them. Would recommend

Very interesting to learn about the old mills. The walk along the gorge is very stunning and beautyful.

Absolutely beautiful place, but the parking is beyond a joke ! Could be inconsiderate and park in the village like many did on the day we were there visiting the dinosaurs but no we parked in the car park appropriately. Lady gave us her ticket as she was leaving, parking warden seen us do this and didn't say you can't do that! So we have now been sent a £100 fine months later! No option to pay a lower amount. Minister Bay with no contact number just an email. Absolutely disgraceful. Phoned rhe visitor centre and they don't have a number for their own parking company? Convenient !!
Absolutely disgraceful considering how much we spent in the cafe

Father in law visited here, he is disabled and displayed his disabled badge on his car however was sent a parking ticket. Susan Gillespie at new Lanark visitor centre has been avoiding our calls and customer service has been so poor. Wouldn’t recommend bringing visitors here

Always worth a visit, at the moment the main visitor centre is closed however the gift shop and cafe are open. It also appears that they are holding craft fairs at the weekends, not as many stalls as they could normally fit in but all well spaced due to virus guidance.

We took our family and dog on a lovely walk here, and had a drink from the cafe and a free bus ride back at the end. Some superb view of the Clyde on the walk.
