This is a beautiful place and we loved the surroundings. Unfortunately, many dog owners had left poo bags along the paths and in the bushes. It was unpleasant and unhygienic, especially with my two-year-old daughter trying to pick them up. It only takes a moment to dispose of waste properly. Please respect this lovely place for everyone’s sake.

The kids had a great time exploring the woods and the cave, we used the natural play area and had a drink and cake at the Wizard Tea Room.

Lovely area for a walk and very popular. Plenty of well marked walking routes, along with some off the beaten track ones. You could definitely spend a full day exploring the area! Get there early as the carpark fills up quickly.
The Wizard Edge is a must after exploring.
The car park is national trust, so free to members or takes card for none members

Commands an amazing view of the Cheshire countryside over towards Manchester. The pictures tell most of the story of this place of natural unspoilt beauty, favourite and former home of the Beckhams, many soccer players and various celebrities have found their home here. The view "the edge" commands of the Cheshire environs and towards Manchester, the airport and such, is quite spectacular. The trails are easy to walk and well signposted. Rarely over-crowded and easily accessible from the main road, with ample paid car parking. When we were last there about 2 years ago, the resteraunt occupying an old barn was undergoing a major refurbishment. This will add an extra attraction to the area. I'd urge you to visit this traditional country park which is ideal for families.

Hare Hill is approximately 10 acres of woodland gardens, including a popular walled garden. It is a favourite with families, especially small children who come to picnic and enjoy the safe space.
Helpful volunteers were on hand to explain the history and layout of the gardens. Facilities: Car parking, book shop, basic refreshments and toilets. Free to NT members.
