I used Kevin and his team for our recent move which involved moving a number of items from our home in Edinburgh to our new home in Puglia in Italy and our new home in Glasgow with a period of storage. Kevin and his team were brilliant from start to finish and competitive price wise. Everything arrived in the right place safely and on time after being held in storage by Kevin for a number of weeks. I’ve never seen stuff packed so well - no short cuts. I would highly recommend.

Kevin and his team helped me move my stuff from Edinburgh to Athens, Greece and to say they were amazing is the least I can say. When they came to pack everything the guys were super attentive and wrapped everything up really well. When it came to quotes for transport and the packing Kevin was by far the most competitive.

I would definitely use them again. I had really fragile things travelling (3bikes, two screens and paintings) and everything came in perfect condition. The amount of bubble wrap and boxes put round everything to protect it showed the care put into this.

Moving is stressful and I'm glad Kevin took a lot of the stress away with his service

Communication with Kevin was good before sending the boxes. After that I no longer heard anything for 2 weeks, and then heard from fedex only that the goods were on their way. After a month I have still not received. People who send things abroad are not familiar with the process and I asked info about customs myself (should have been informed, not having to ask). Kevin sent me documents I filled in and sent back to him. He didn’t tell me specifically this needed to go to the Consulate and all the other documentation needed, and implications of values included in a list of goods. I appreciate it’s difficult and new with Brexit but this is not a good service. I now don’t have my things and the customs can’t release them without documents I don’t have because I’m in Portugal already. So, was told I either lose the things and the money I spent to send them over, or pay high taxes over them (personal goods). An utterly painful process and several days lost at my new job that could have been prevented had I known this information before and communication had been better instead of the costumer having to ask.

Kevin from Meadows International Removals carried my relocation from Edinburgh (UK) to Padua (Italy) on May 2024. I had to move some furniture and personal belongings. In 4 days my good were delivered with no issue.
Kevin have been amazing, always available by phone or email to answer all my questions, advised how to pack my furniture etc. Out there there are hundreds of companies - I was overwhelmed as this was my first international move after spending twenty years in Scotland, Kevin offered an honest quote, providing all the necessary infos I needed in a relaxed way with no pressure to make a payment straight away. Kevin and his team moved my boxes from Edinburgh to Spain. Despite issue with Spanish Customs communication and support from Kevin from start to finish was excellent. The cost was very reasonable. Highly recommend.

I used Meadows 5 years ago for an international move and I still shudder at the memory of that experience. So many things arrived damaged, including a delicate antique wood card playing table whose legs were clearly broken off because it was packaged too roughly (since the packaging was so tightly wound around the legs you could see that the legs were broken that way, not during transit, as they would have been loose in the packaging.) I also found that communication was good up until they got all the money. Then it was rubbish. However price didn’t go up for me like other people have said in the reviews. But I was told items would definitely be delivered on a certain day but not to the flat itself, only to the front door (flat was 4 steps up from front door but no, that was not possible). So I had two friends come to help me take things inside but they of course both had to be available to do that… so i was assured of the delivery date. Surprise surprise everything was over 2 weeks late and they could only tell me day before of delivery date. Luckily my friends were free when it did finally get delivered otherwise all my worldly possessions would have been left on the street as it was impossible for me to move most of it on my own. So insanely stressful and this part of the delivery was not made clear at all before shipment. Luckily was able to have everything repaired and insurance did pay for most of it. At this point Meadows did communicate with me promptly when I notified them of things being damaged (basically everything that was relatively fragile and that I hadn’t packaged myself but paid them to package was damaged and I am not a professional removals company! My packaging was better than theirs. What a joke).

A fine service starting at estimating stage from Kevin through collection of shipment at premises in Fife. Packing was high quality and no damages found upon delivery to South Korea. Took almost four months to arrive but this outwith Meadows control. Would recommend this company.

Meadows International Removals carried my relocation from Edinburgh (UK) to Milan (Italy) on July 2022. I had to move furniture and personal belongings. They have been amazing. Kevin was always available by phone or email to address any concern or request. They arranged my move with just 4-5 days notice and they were also available with a temporary storage service. Also, they were really knowledgeable in relation to the paperwork needed due to brexit (that is making everyone life more complicated). The items arrived all intact and on time and the guy who came with the van was lovely. Thank you very much!
