DO NOT USE THIS AS A DROP OFF LOCATION FOR ANY OF YOUR PARCELS.

I can not comment on this business practices outside of the drop off collection service it provides. However, on this I can.

In my opinion they are running a scam. When you pay for a parcel delivery service with a drop off service included online and print the postage label, as far as I understand it, this is the sum agreed for that service. Total.

Each major parcel delivery service has a drop off locator on its website. This was the first time I have used Mail Boxes. Etc as the drop off location. And THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE EVER BEEN TOLD THAT I HAVE TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL £5 FEE TO HAVE FED EX, OR FOR ANY OTHER PARCEL COURIER, COLLECT THE PARCEL FROM THE DROP OFF.

This is not advertised, mentioned, forewarned on the window outside the business where it offers these services. And NOWHWERE is it mentioned when booking, choosing and paying for the delivery of a parcel with the courier company directly. And nowhere else that I know of, and I have used many, does any drop off location charge you to then have you parcel collected from them. This is a hostage situation imposed by scrupulous business practices to make money off the needs of others. Either pay the £5 or don’t get your parcel collected.

The member of staff will tell you that it is that they need to pay the courier service to collect the parcel. I have spoken to Fed Ex and they personally assure me that this is not the case. And if was the case, why don’t other independent business drop off locations impose the same fee. And why is it NEVER stated on any of the booking forms for the hundreds of parcels I have sent and dropped off before, or even in this case.

So, you decide. Honest business, or scrupulous practices to pray on the needs of others?

I have reported this scam to the Trading Standards. And have opened a case with Visa via my bank for being forced to pay further money for a service I had already paid for;

You should report a business to Trading Standards if they sold you something:
• you didn’t want to buy - for example, they put pressure on you – Absolutely, otherwise my prepaid parcel would be going home with me and not reach the recipient.
• they weren’t clear about the price or added on extra costs - for example, they advertised theatre ticket prices without booking fees – This was not a charge mentioned anywhere until you walk in to drop off parcel.

Very professional service. I sent my document online and got it printed on the same day. My dad also received a great help from Mail Boxes team with sending a parcel abroad under the new Brexit rules. I strongly recommend this place!

I expected a better service from mailboxes. After winning an auction and requesting their service it took 4 weeks for the item to be delivered. When no one answered my emails I had to phone & chase up after 2 weeks only to be told that the item was still at the auction house. Even though they reduced the price of delivery by not charging a collection fee (it still cost me £70) I would rather have paid full and received it sooner as I had a buyer but lost a sale as they couldn't wait.
Eventually when it was ready for delivery I arranged a date and waited in all day but it didn't arrive - but did the following day.
Not very happy.

At a weekend I was extremely fortunate enough to select MBE who were open on Saturday morning. Patrick advised me what to do and said he would work on it over the weekend- amazingly he kept his word and posted the proposed design on Sunday evening.
I needed the business cards for a Private View on the Wednesday and collected my order on the Wednesday morning from the University branch which was more convenient for me.
I am extremely pleased with the finished results and would recommend them to others.
