This is the most immaculate and beautiful guest house we have ever stayed in. The whole house was very impressive; spotlessly clean and very well cared for. We stayed in the Allen room, which was very spacious with a fabulous bay window with armchairs and a coffee table. There was a very comfortable sofa too. The cupboard with a fridge was a great addition and a nice place to keep shoes and coats out of the way. The view from our room was amazing and the location so peaceful. Lots of birds and trees with the sea in the distance. We were lucky enough to have incredible weather too. The breakfast was also delicious and I particularly enjoyed the homemade granola, yogurt and fruit. The bacon was also very tasty! We are already thinking about a return visit.

We stayed 2 nights at Linndhu House and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Scotland!||Many aspects of our stay made it special. From the time we entered the front door, we were struck by how amazingly it was restored and decorated. From the furniture and accoutrements in the rooms to the walls, moldings, and light fixtures, everything was coordinated and made us feel that we were stepping into a piece of Edwardian history. At the same time, the atmosphere was very welcoming and Nick and Allison did everything possible to make us feel special. ||Since we were traveling off-season, we were the only guests during our stay and Nick joined us in the drawing room for whiskey and conversation by the fireplace in the evening. Hearing him discuss the way that they restored the property gave us even more appreciation for it. ||We stayed in the Allan room, which was large with a view of the woods and the Tobermory Harbor in the distance. The couch and arm chairs were comfortable for relaxing and reading. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom included a shower as well as a bathtub. The bathroom floor could be heated though we didn't use this feature. ||The breakfasts were excellent with a choice of cold and hot items. We just let them know the time and our requests the evening before and all was ready. The dining area overlooked the yard and was a peaceful way to start the day. ||We had a rental car and it was an easy 5 minute drive into Tobermory for dinner. We also found it to a good location for seeing the Mull scenery and getting to the ferry locations for the island. ||Overall, we highly recommend Linndhu House and will always remember it as a highlight of our trip!

We have just enjoyed 2 nights at the beautiful Linndhu House. The hosts, Nick and Allison were warm, welcoming and helpful on our very early arrival giving us access to the gorgeous Allan room in the morning. Everything about the home is outstanding, exquisitely decorated yet comfortable. Our room was very large with fine linens, a chesterfield couch and 2 lovely armchairs. The separate bathroom is large and elegant. The guest lounge was similarly classy but comfortable and we enjoyed our scotch in front of the fire which Nick kept burning. I could have stayed in this sitting room for weeks! I wish I could say we will he back but Melbourne is a long way from Tobermory. However I commend Linndhu House to others most highly.

During our 2.5 week vacation touring Scotland, Linndhu House was our favorite place we stayed. Our time at Linndhu House was nothing short of extraordinary. The setting was breathtakingly beautiful, providing a peaceful escape from everyday life. The owners of the B&B were so kind and helpful. They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The room was luxurious and impeccably clean, with every detail thoughtfully considered. I can't say enough positive things about Linndhu House - I highly recommend it for anyone seeking an exceptional getaway.

Linndhu House is a beautiful building with large spotlessly clean rooms. There is ample parking. |However there were downsides for us. At the prices being charged we did not expect you to have to pre order breakfast and the breakfast portions sizes were small. Again a ÂŖ4 supplement for fish felt out of kilter with the overall price. |Our rooms were often cold and we had to ask too many times for the heating to be put on. It became embarrassing.|On the 3rd night there was no fire in the communal lounge often our waiting point whilst our rooms warmed up.|The location is outside of Tobermory too far to walk for an evening meal.|Overall our experience did not match the rhetoric and it felt significantly over priced.

Great luxury bed and breakfast. We had a great view of the grounds with woodpeckers and hooded crows. Large main room and large bathroom with two sinks and large shower. Loved the home made granola and local preserves. Then there was the drawing room with guitar and piano available and a complimentary tot of local whisky.
Easy drive into Tobermory. We would stay here again.

A lovely B and B beautifully situated and very well appointed inside. Our room was the best we have ever had. Our hosts made us feel very welcome and even provided guests with complementary whiskey. Lots of other little extras were appreciated such as a fridge in the room, a coffee machine for use at any time, books, a comfortable lounge and an alternative sitting area on the landing. We really enjoyed our stay and although rather more expensive than most, was well worth the money.

There's everything to like about Linndhu House - the only question is if it works for your plans.||It's an Edwardian mansion set on beautiful grounds, it's impeccably maintained, and Alison and Nick are excellent hosts who know their jobs. The rooms spacious, airy and bright. Furnishing is uncluttered. From the side I stayed on, you could see the water and distant mountains. Breakfast was made to order, and with care and quality. in a lovely room with birds feeding outside.||Is Linndhu House right for you?||I would say you have to be traveling by car. It's a few miles outside of Tobermory; if you're not planning on your own transportation, I would suggest somewhere more central. Similarly, if you want to be in Tobermory, you're actually a few miles away. Linndhu House serves breakfast, but not other meals, so you need to be able to get to a restaurant or market. ||The house is surrounded by handsome gardens and also woods. I loved it, if you don't (or the occasional bug from an open window would be a problem), that's a consideration.||In the same way, the marble floors in the bathroom are beautiful - and slippery, if that's a concern.||There's at least one bedroom on the ground floor, the rest require stairs to access.||Finally, if the reason you're heading to Mull is to see Iona or Staffa, you should plan to spend at least one night closer to them, perhaps in Fionnphort. Any accommodation in or near Tobermory is a 1.5 hour drive on slow roads.||These points will likely only concern a few people, but worth knowing if you're one of them. Otherwise, Linndhu House is just lovely and peaceful.
