Absolutely dreadful opening hours 8am to 10am nearly every day. What idiot dreamed these up? You have to be aware if this. The staff are such hard work as to find your parcel..

Along time ago in a galaxy far, far away the Royal Mail was a publicly owned enterprise. It offered two deliveries per day and it's sorting offices were open at times to suit its customers, you, the general public.
Then the government in its 'infinite wisdom' decided to privatise the Royal Mail, sold it off for far less than it was worth (and, of course, no backhanders to those in senior office took place) and so began the inevitable slide in the standard of service that we've seen on numerous occassions when the morons who we employ to manage the country on our behalf try to prop up the economy, that is failing due to their mismanagement, by selling off a public assets for a fraction of what it's worth.
So now we have a company that constantly cuts back on the services offered thus tempting the customers to go elsewhere therefore profits drop and the company looks to boost the profits by further cut backs to the service - the vicious circle ensues.
The ludicrous thing is that the Royal Mail now prioritise parcels over letters and yet if you missed the delivery because you have the audacity to be out working (shame on you, you ought to know better) you have immense difficulty actually picking up the parcel due to inadequate opening times at the sorting office.
Please don't blame the front line Royal Mail workers, they would love to offer a better service but are dictated to by the senior management, you know, the snivelling, cowardardly sewer rats that make these cuts then hide in the board room too afraid to face the general public so leave the front line staff to unfairly have to take the abuse (do you know that the Royal mail currently offers only a 28 hour week to new starters, effectively making it a part time job. I wonder how many of the senior management scum could live and support a family on that).
The way things are going there can only be one outcome - RIP the Royal Mail.

Pathetic service! I ordered a part your tracking Said it has been delivered on the 15th with a picture taken from inside the van. Nothing left on the door stop. My door bell shows it not being delivered. An low an behold I come home on the 21st and it is sticking out of my letter box!!!!! Wow what a good accurate tracking service you have! I can see why I no longer send anything with royal mail. The last letter I sent 1st took a week to arrive.

I had always found this to be a really useful service but since Royal Mail changed the hours it is impossible to get to - only open in the week when I am at work and only for a short half-day on Saturday. With prior commitments it is difficult to access at this time meaning I think twice about ordering when the parcel delivery will be Royal Mail. Now, I can usually only get there at opening times during the school holidays.

I have never known anything like the current situation. 4 days in a row my mum went to collect my parcels and every single time it was shut. They say it’s open till 12pm on a Saturday but never once have I been and it’s been open. It’s absolutely impossible for people who work a 9-5 job to ever collect their post. Royal Mail try once to deliver my parcels (right in the middle of the day when I’m at work like most of the population), don’t try a neighbour, don’t attempt re delivery even once, don’t leave in a safe place and every single time just send my parcels straight to this sorting office which is impossible to collect parcels from. The whole thing is a mess it’s such a shame as I used to think Royal Mail were the best delivery service. Absolutely impossible for anyone to get delivery’s now. Strikes throughout the whole of December. Unbelievable mess.

I go down when I've just missed last post at the local post office or to pick up a parcel i missed. Service always good and if you're lucky you'll get someone who isn't miserable. Sometimes gets busy, and they don't have much parking, but roads are quiet in the evening or just borrow a space from a nearby unit

I do like this depo and it’s handy, however, when you receive a card with times on it to find out it is not correct it’s very frustrating.

Missed your delivery because you were busy working an actual job?

Don't worry - the Letchworth sorting office will be open a whole 2 hours a day... also whilst you're working.

Hopeless.
