IVSS (International Vehicle Shipping Services) managed all elements of shipping my G Wagen poptop expedition vehicle from Houston, TX (USA) to Montevideo, Uruguay. I simply dropped off the vehicle, and my Colorado Title, at the IVSS-designated wharehouse in Houston. That contractor then secured my car in a 20-foot container and delivered it to the port of Houston.
I tracked the progress of the container ship using the 'Vessel Finder' subscription satellite tracking service. That service allowed me to see at any given moment where my G was on the high seas, or at various port stops along the route.
About six weeks later I met the IVSS contractor (Sebastian) in Montevideo, Uruguay. He arranged for security clearance for my wife and me and led us to the unopened container inside the the secured port gates. I was able to watch as the security bolt was cut off and the lashings and chock blocks were removed. I then personally backed the G wagen out of the container. (I found no damage to the vehicle.) Then, after a couple hours of customs paperwork, all handled by Sebastian, I was on the road in South America!
Not only did IVSS handle booking the ship and all the paperwork on both ends, they did so at a more competitive price than some of their competition's bids. And with no surprise extra charges!
In summary, I highly recommend IVSS and their contractors for superb service at a competitive price.

IVSS are highly recommended, I have no hesitation promoting them. We travelled with our cars to Canada, en-route to Miami. IVSS gave the best price all in (not necessarily the cheapest - beware of a cheap offer) and only used specialist car shipping agents out of Miami and into UK. Martin and his team are always on hand to handle issues - we had some minor ones in US, like Form 7501 - and we felt like we looked after all the way. They're happy to share who they are using as agents and allow you access to them. We felt very safe with them. Martin McGowan knows his stuff. Don't get tricked into unnecessary and expensive paperwork, like Carnet de Passages, until you have checked with someone like Martin first. I had a frustrating experience with this company. As a paying customer, I reached out for shipping details and was met with unprofessional and even insulting responses. Instead of providing clear information, their communication was dismissive and unhelpful.

Beyond poor customer service, I also noticed some concerning business practices that made me question their reliability. Ultimately, I chose to withdraw from the transaction as they started to seem sketchy.

If you’re considering doing business with them, I’d recommend proceeding with caution. Customer service is a key part of any reputable company, and unfortunately, they greatly fell short.
