Humberside airport, what can I say, actually has to be one of the most stress free airports I've had the pleasure of tackling, both going away and coming home. Amenities for an airport it's size are good, but the price for a bacon sandwich, a beer, and a small bottle of water nearly £20 is a bit much.

I arrived at Terminal 1 with minutes to catch my flight and was having a complete meltdown. The security staff calmed me down and quickly and efficiently saw me through the security check. They were the epitome of professionalism. Thanks to Louise on the security gate, I made my flight.

Flew out of Humberside via Amsterdam to Lapland for a couple of nights. Could not fault the experience, looked after well from check in and received my bag soon as I arrived into Rovaniemi. Stress free check in and swift move through security and time for a coffee in the departures lounge. Best of all it’s such an easily accessible airport with no traffic to contend with. Facilities may be somewhat limited compared to bigger airports but there is a bar once in the departures lounge and a reasonably large and well stocked duty free shop. Return was swift through border control despite arriving at the same time as a 737 full of passengers. More people need to use this airport and hopefully then more airlines will start to come back.

Brilliant airport close to home saving journeys down to London or Manchester, staff in duty free are brilliant, however check in person not so great we booked flexi tickets which entitled us to 1 check in suitcase each plus two carry ons.under 12kg. Our cases weighed in heavy so we wanted to transfer the excess to another carry on( which clearly said on our tickets permitted us to)but the check in person refused to let us and charged us £66!!!! Maybe more training is required? So just be aware.....

Convenient, and tidy airport. A shame they don't fly a few more routes.

Parking is very expensive in short stay. £30!

Going through security was a joke, only one desk and incredibly slow.

Visited just to capture the Hull City team and supporters arriving back from Turkey onboard the Corendon Airlines (Hull City Livery aircraft. Didn`t visit the terminal.

Luggage collection on arrival is often as long as the flight from Amsterdam. Very slow especially when you're being collected and they have to keep driving in and out to avoid charges in the car park. Shame because the staff on departure, check in, security, duty free and bar are pretty good service.
It's the arrivals process that needs some TLC!
