Sending a parcel shouldn’t be this painful!
Staff need serious retraining in both customer care and the tech they use.
I have now paid three times to send a parcel for next day delivery and it is currently lost in the system after being returned to me twice.
Incorrect labels being printed. Labels printed upside down with barcode unreadable.
I don’t know how to get a refund - they don’t make this easy although happy to keep taking my money.
If you really need to get something sent urgently for guaranteed delivery - DO NOT USE these guys!

Never left a bad review anywhere previously, however after the experience I had at this Post Office I feel compelled to do so. Purely as I don't want anyone else to feel the same way as i did. The Customer service from the ladies working in the Post office (dealing with parcels etc) is sadly appalling. I requested help with returning something, had some issues in doing so (not their fault) however, when I proceeded to ask for some support on what to do next, I was met with pure rudeness. Some extra training is needed in this department, we're all human. It doesn't cost a penny to be nice.

Passport renewal service - The whole process was quick and painless, Becky was pleasant, helpful (and completed all the paperwork for us :-). Would recommend this service at the Hitchin post office, when your passport next needs renewing :-))

On 13.5.24 at 10.38am we were served by a friendly Stephanie. We wanted to renew our passports. She made eye contact, was very informative, offered a great service with a smile.

I've visited twice recently, once on a Monday and once on a Friday. Queues move quickly, the attendants are polite, service is swift, and two errands I thought would take half the day (I usually go to my local post office in Letchworth) took minutes. Worth the short drive over to Hitchin every time.

I found out recently that my bank (Barclays) no longer offers a money exchange service. So today I went to Hitchin Post office today to exchange some dollars to sterling and I was delighted to find how easy the process was. The lady who served me (Steph) took the money - it was counted in seconds and was able to make the exchange directly to my Barclay bank account through my card. I wasn't required to show identification which I had brought with me. The whole encounter took less than 3 minutes and there was no queue either which was a bonus. I just wanted to thank Steph for making it such a simple experience when I was expecting something much more complicated.

We renewed our passports today with Becky, really smooth and very easy. She was very attentive and calm even with a queue forming
