I usually use the Alderley Edge post office but was in Handforth. There were two young ladies working. They were both happy, smiley, polite, friendly, helpful and competent. I usually hope for a functional experience with maybe a pinch of manners when I go to a shop or bank etc. The young ladies really made a difference - I usually would not bother writing a review, but the young ladies deserve 5 stars. Extermely rude and racist blonde hair lady in her 40’s to 50’s working today on the 14th of March at 3pm in the post office refused to give me her name and started screaming and swearing at me …I asked for her name and all the staff started to gang up on me

Had to rush to the post office, for something urgent. Got there for 12pm, only to be told they were closed. Having checked the opening times online it stated 12.30pm so went back in to be told that because she was behind the counter on her own because of staff sickness that she closed early as a one off.

All i wanted was a postal order for £7.50 for an elderley relative.

I kmow that there has some bad publicity against the treatment of postal masters but what I experienced today was somewhat far from what was depicted in the drama of how customer focus staff are. One had time to chat to a Spar staff member but couldn't do a postal order.

The best post office ever, extremely friendly team, chats over the counter are like a free therapy. Always have a good giggle and leave with a smile. Keep doing the great job ladies 🥰

I don't know all the people who work at this post office. I've met the young ladies and they are amazing, so kind and helpful. Unfortunately there is one elderly woman who is very arrogant and rude to customers and it's serious. She even deliberately tried to sabotage the parcel i was sending by putting the sticker onto the bottom of the parcel (celotape) instead of the top (masking tape)

Very disappointed, I’ve used this post office many times and usually dealt with a young lady. Today I came in and asked for help sending an international parcel when the older woman piped up being very condescending and sarcastic, I remained calm for while despite her best efforts although ultimately lost patience.
I was simply asking how to attach the customs form to which I was told it should be packed in the box. When I explained the instructions stated a “clear envelope” she said “well put it in a clear envelope”. I asked if she had experience in sending parcels internationally, to which the response was “we just accept the parcels”, I asked again could she offer any advice on how best to do it, but I continued to receive sarcastic responses.
This is absolutely not the way to handle queries and definitely not with a poor attitude.
I’ll be speaking with this post office on Monday.

Service is absolutely terrible
People standing around laughing and joking whilst a massive queue builds up
Expect to wait 30 mins during a quiet period, can’t imagine how big it gets in a busy period such as lunch time
Very often this sort of behaviour led to me missing the faster post so I use a different post office or better still a more reliable service whenever I can

Marsha was very helpful to me. I had some parcels and 1 was for Sweden. She helped me sort out the best postage costs. I have dyslexia and post office can sometimes be stressful. Thank you Marsha.
