The Simple Storage Team are good people. They try hard for their customers and are always helpful and flexible. There are smarter, cleaner storage places but they will reflect that in higher pricing, contracts and less direct contact with management.

Andy is a sound guy, he's always reasonable with reasonable people. We at REVGEAR Europe have been there for 3 or 4 years now and had no major issues of any kind in that time.

Fantastic service and ran by genuine friendly people. Held a unit with these guys for roughly 4 years and its been a pleasure! Security was great and the ability to come and go as you please is perfect. They have always been really accommodating with moving to a different size unit when required and I Honestly wouldn't use anyone else in the area for storage! Thank you

From small lockers to large 400 sq ft units, 24 hour access, and quick easy sign up. This storage place is pretty good…also stores caravans and vehicles.

our son recently moved back from Spain with the entire contents of an apartment and a restaurant. Simple storage solution Gateshead were fantastic at accommodating our request at short notice, gave excellent advice on storage space required & shown how to use facilities ( access, lift & trolleys ). Overall we have had fantastic service for the last six months & would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Not impressed with customer care. Response to a complaint was taken as a personal criticism by the manager and response was to evict me!! Unprofessional.
The owners memory is not too good as his reply is not what it was about. It was about the frequent changing of bank details, and when a change was missed and money paid into the old account, a financial penalty imposed for a missed payment! Insistent that I went elsewhere (which I did at lower cost).

I had my unit for over a year, the rates were really competitive compared with other storage places and the 24hr access was really useful. I’ve cancelled my contract today and the process was really easy and straight forward

Friendly enough and happy to help on the intial but the during and aftercare is horrible. Request 4 weeks up front payments with 2 weeks cancellation and claim back for unused time. They locked me out on the renew day of invoice and 3 months later im waiting on my refund of 3 weeks payment just to get my goods out for 1 day extra. JOKE of a company, all excuses. Now saying i have to collect my cheque from the office and refuse to post it out because they didnt charge me for postage. AVOID... theres better in the area

EDIT: now 6 months on a no refund of payment. all calls, emails ignored and confronted with threatening manner when going into the building..

EDIT: threating manner, are you for real? Approaching the desk and asking they contact head office to "send out my cheque" and offering to pay for postage for the envelope is not threatening. The only threat you recieved was that I'd report you to trading standards and give a bad review or perhaps go to claims for my cash.

Very helpful in sorting the storage we required quickly and at a good price. They were also able to help us source a company to move items to be stored and then placed in our unit. Would definitely use in the future and recommend to people reading this to use Gateshead Storage.
