Came here to check opening hours and was genuinely surprised with all the bad reviews. So thought I'd leave mine since I'm in here all the time. Yes there is a que during the day but honestly what post office doesn't have a que? When I go later in the day it's usually quiet, just pick your times. The staff have never been anything but lovely to me but I get the feeling if you are rude they will be rude back and too right! Kindness cost nothing.

Closed (again!) due to only having 1 member of staff (who knew you needed 2 behind the counter!!)

This is operated by WH Smith within one of their high street stores. If WH Smith can't manage to offer a decent (5 day a week, 9am-5pm minimum) service for the local residents and visitors to Fort William it should be taken away from them and given to someone who can.

In order to leave a review I had to give at minimum one star. I would prefer to give negative 5 stars. What abhorrent behavior the lady behind the window displayed. She chatted w/the young lady in front of me for over 20 mins and then said: "Sorry, we're closed!". They're short staffed and closed at 1:30pm. And, yes, she kept looking at me during her conversation. I wonder if she purposely chatted for so long as not to wait on me. Nevertheless, as a tourist, that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Thank you for a great, first time experience...🤢🤮

Don’t go by the Google opening hours or even those displayed at the post office. 50% of the time I go, it’s closed due to: 1/ lunch break -1.5 hours, 2/training -all day. The rest of the time (especially in the tourist season) expect a queue to the door during the rare times they’re open.

Woefully understaffed - there should be at least 2 staff in there especially during tourist season to cover lunch breaks.

coming to this post office is utterly depressing , its usually queued out the bloody door cos the staff are so incredibly slow. they will process one customer then get up have a walk around , maybe a wee chat with another staff member , shuffle some papers , have a drink then sit back down before starting again , and don't dare step forward without being called or you will be reprimanded in front of everyone like an impudent child , they like to exercise a little authority and they have no problem in looking at you and talking to you with utter contempt , and god help you if you are behind a customer that happens to know the staff cos they will talk and talk for bloody ages with no regard to the fact the queue is getting impatient and peoples parking tickets are running out cos they have been there so long , staff are pretty clueless apart from maybe one young girl whos pretty good , i simply HATE coming here and if i could possibly go anywhere else i certainly would

Always a queue out the door and one slow staff member serving. If there is two staff they’ll be chatting away to themselves making it an even slower experience. Terrible customer service

The post office does as best as they can . It should never have moved into WHSmith shop it should of stayed in the place that was built for it . Where nickel and dime now operates from
