I have already suffered a significant financial loss due to being defrauded by an individual. In addition to this, I paid an administrative fee to Federal Management, which was extremely difficult for me to arrange at the time. Despite my financial constraints, I proceeded based on the reassurances and promises made during the initial consultation, which gave me a sense of trust and hope.
Before finalising my decision to engage Federal Management, I had contacted several other debt collection agencies for assistance. At one point, I inadvertently contacted one of their affiliated companies, which led to a callback from Federal Management. During that call, the representative was extremely unprofessional and intimidating. She reprimanded me for speaking with multiple agencies, stating she had no time to review my documents if I was “calling around.” Her tone and attitude were highly inappropriate and unsettling.
Prior to the case officially starting, I spoke with Linda Taylor from their team. After reviewing the evidence I provided, she assured me that they had over 20 years of experience and had successfully dealt with difficult individuals in the past. I made it clear that the person who defrauded me was particularly manipulative and that pursuing recovery would not be easy. However, I was given strong assurances that I could leave the matter in their hands and that they would handle everything professionally.
In reality, the extent of their efforts was limited to a few phone calls and emails requesting payment—actions that I, or anyone else, could have taken independently. Their actual handling of the case fell far short of what was promised. Eventually, I received a call from Keith, informing me that they intended to close the file as they could no longer proceed with the case.
In summary, I was initially defrauded by an individual and, in my attempt to seek help, feel that I have been let down once again—this time by the very agency I trusted to assist me. I am now left in a position of complete financial and emotional loss.
