I reserved a car online here but I cancelled it a few days later. The change in attitude in the sales person was dramatic, going from helpful to obstructive. They tried to tell me I was obliged to purchase the car despite it being a "no obligation" reservation placed online. According to the sales person, the online reservation is "nothing to do with them" and they advised that refunds take 14 working days...a long time to wait for a £500 refund despite the website stating 7 days during the reservation process. Sadly, a lot of Jaguar main dealers seem to have this reputation, not just Duckworth.

I wasn’t gonna write a review but how much I spend which was over £4,000 and the experience I thought I need to . Initially I just wanted a full service but they said a few other things needed doing which I was fine with . After 2 days they said the car was ready to collect and after arriving at the dealership the car was parked up and would not start and had to go back into the workshop for an hour and this was because the mechanic said someone had put the alternator belt on the wrong way round . After fixing that a few days later the car went into limp mode . So I rung them up took the car back in and they phoned me later on that day saying they had run a diagnostic and couldn’t find nothing , well I thought to myself the problem hasn’t been resolved but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought the car might of been throwing a fit . As I drove it up the road it done the exact same thing (went back into limp mode ) so I took it back in and the girl said I must be doing something with the car . In the end the head technician had to come out with me to see what I was already telling them . I ask for a courtesy car but they said they had none available till next month which left me without a car . I had to keep calling up to find out what was going on with me car as they never bothered to update me . Basically in the end they had put the cam belt on wrong . They call themselves a main dealer yet can’t put there own parts on right . What a joke . After they had fixed it and I got back to my car where the inside of my cream interior was covered in grease and dirt from whoever had been sitting in it . So I had to pay to get that deep cleaned . Also I received no apology throughout this whole time . Worse experience I’ve had from a main dealer , will never be going back !

We purchased a 2020 Jaguar I-Pace from Jaguar Duckworth, and from day one, it was a disaster.

The car arrived with:
• Scratches all over the bodywork
• A large scratch on the cream armrest
• A dirty interior
• A stone chip in the windscreen
• A non-functional boot gesture sensor on the driver’s side (never fixed)
• And that very night: “Drive with caution: high voltage system fault detected.”

Within 10 days, more systems failed—parking sensors and Park Bay Assist stopped working. A week later, a critical battery fault appeared, requiring a new cell and restricting the car to just 72% charge.

The vehicle went back to Jaguar Duckworth twice. Each time, it returned with unresolved or worsening issues. The boot gesture sensor was never repaired. After the second visit, the parking sensors stopped working entirely.

Jaguar Duckworth’s response throughout? Slow, dismissive, and utterly lacking in accountability.

All of these faults were reported within the first 30 days of ownership—meaning, under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, we were legally entitled to a full refund. Instead, Jaguar Duckworth refused to honour this and imposed a 45p-per-mile usage charge—including mileage they themselves added while transporting the vehicle back and forth to their dealership (160 miles round trip each time). This was not only unreasonable, but a blatant attempt to shift the cost of their own failings onto us.

To make matters worse, when they finally came to collect the car, they photographed a small stone chip on the passenger-side door—something that clearly falls under fair wear and tear after four months of ownership—and charged us an outrageous £480 for it. This wasn’t just unreasonable; it was exploitative.

We’ve since discovered we’re far from alone. After doing our own research, we found countless other I-Pace owners reporting the exact same issues—especially the battery cell fault, which is shockingly common. What’s worse, the wait times for replacement cells and service appointments are appalling, often stretching into months.

We’ve been in contact with Citizens Advice throughout this ordeal, who have been excellent in informing us of our rights—something Jaguar Duckworth never did, nor respected. On their advice, we are now escalating the matter to the Motor Ombudsman—not only to recover the remainder of the refund they withheld, but also to seek compensation for the additional costs we’ve incurred: £80 to retain our personalised number plate and £195 in tax for our replacement vehicle.

We’ve since replaced the I-Pace with a Tesla Model 3—and the difference is night and day. The Tesla has been flawless: no faults, no warning lights, no excuses. Charging is seamless, the software is intuitive and constantly improving, and the customer service has been proactive and transparent—everything Jaguar Duckworth failed to deliver.

Jaguar Duckworth sold us a defective vehicle and failed to make it right. Avoid them.

I had purchased a Jaguar F-Type from Duckworth Jaguar Land Rover and had the pleasure of working with Luke. From the moment we walked in, Luke took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for. He was attentive, patient, and allowed us to test drive the car on our own for an extended period, which really gave us the confidence to make the right decision. There was absolutely no pressure to take dealer finance or add extras, and the entire process felt easy and transparent. The handover was a fantastic experience, and Luke made sure everything was perfect.

I later had a small issue with the car, and when I brought it in for a wait-in appointment, it was resolved within two hours. While I waited, I started exploring options for an SUV. I knew what I wanted, but Luke surprised me by suggesting a pre-owned option that matched my needs perfectly - at half the cost of the new one! His genuine approach and expertise really stood out yet again.

Hats off to the team at Duckworth Jaguar Land Rover. Their customer service is quite honestly the best I have come across. Everyone is very forthcoming and helpful. I value great service, and they have completely earned my trust. I will absolutely be returning for future purchases and would not hesitate to recommend them.

The team at Duckworth were fantastic. Initially Jack and then I was looked after by Luke and Steve. Looked after is probably the right term. From the initial enquiry to the handover, nothing was too much trouble. The whole experience was first class and focused on making the transaction stress free - especially given that I was in a difficult situation. The vehicle itself is excellent as was the overall deal we concluded. I was kept fully informed which included update videos sent to me. Luke has stayed in touched, as is the standard with Duckworth, and I couldn't be happier. I really cannot recommend them highly enough. They are great ambassadors for the brand.
