I recently had a terrible experience with DTD Courier, Birmingham UK that I feel compelled to share. If you're considering using their services, I suggest you look elsewhere. Here's why:

Very Poor Customer Service: Good luck trying to reach them! If you manage to get through, don't be surprised if they disconnect your call suddenly. If you do get to talk to someone, be prepared for a language barrier, as my call was routed to a representative in India who spoke primarily Hindi. This made it incredibly frustrating to communicate effectively. However, the staff in India was more helpful than the staff in UK

Poor Courier Handling: The handling of packages was nothing short of disastrous. My parcel arrived in a severely damaged state, and it was clear that they don't take proper care in handling items.

Unexplained Customs and Storage Charges: I was hit with unexpected customs charges and storage fees that were never disclosed upfront. This left me feeling misled and frustrated, as I had no idea these charges were a possibility when I initially shipped my package. There is no HS code or any explanation. Its a big scam, I hope the authorities in India clamp down on such nonsense. Expect to have at least 50-60% additional unwarranted charges to release the package.
They have little to no knowledge about what is allowed and what is not.

Misleading Branding: Many people confuse DTD Courier UK with DTDC Couriers. This misrepresentation and the resulting confusion can lead to a lot of unnecessary hassle, so be careful when choosing which service to use.

Very Bad Online Courier Tracking: Their online tracking system is practically useless. It rarely updates, leaving you in the dark about the status of your shipment.

Volumetric Weight Issues: The volumetric weight calculations were incorrect, and they tried to confuse me with discrepancies on the bill. It felt like a deliberate attempt to overcharge.

Extremely Slow Delivery Times: Shipping a parcel from the UK to India took over a month! If you want your shipment to arrive in a timely manner, steer clear of this company.

Dubious Online Reviews: I noticed that the positive reviews on Google seem suspiciously fake. Most reviewers appear to be based in India, which raises concerns about the credibility of their feedback.

Charges: They advertise something and they charge something else.

If you want to send a parcel that likely won't reach its destination or arrive in good condition, then DTD Courier UK is the company for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and choose a reputable courier service. My experience was nothing short of an ordeal, and I wouldn't want anyone else to go through the same frustration.

Worst ever service.stole my money and my things.i had send a package to India ( Kerala ) and it didn't reach on time.i did their express delivery service to reach my gifts to my sister on time as their staffs told it would take 5 to 7 days even after 15 days it didn't reach my sister went abroad and they still didn't delivered they were telling lot of excuses about the customs but even after customs problem after 5 days ..then also it didn't got delivered and i put a bad review in Google about all this. And then these people blocked the delivery saying that because of the bad review we blocked your delivery. What an unprofessional thing to do to your customer.man i paid you for the service and you didn't deliver .and their staff told me to delete the review so that they would deliver it to my parents (atleast they will get it ,my sister already went ti another country so no use )still i wanted my gifts to reach to my family.so after lots of calls.i deleted the review and still they didn't delivered .i sent my courier on August 19th 2024 and today is February 7 2025 still not delivered or refunded.they literally stole my things and cheated me.

I would like to give 0 star. Had worst experience. I did parcel from london to india. Before parcel i reached india and even after 25 days my parcel was in transit even i paid extra they said pay extra £200 they won’t stop your parcel and when i asked them daily they dont even reply me on time. When it reached after 30 days i tried to reach them for compensation cause few things wete destroyed as it took so long to reach my place. Now they just read my message and dont response. Wont experience. NEVER EVER CHOOSE DTD EXPRESS specially from this shop. Worst service ever. Still its been 7 months no one have responded on my complaint neither they were sorry. Better go for other option than this shop or DTD services.
