I am horrified by my experience with staff at Doncaster Train station. No matter what I asked, every last one of them were rude and disrespectful. One woman actually refused to answer my question if the train I needed to get on was the right train until it had left, put her hand in my face and told me to wait. One man I asked about if the next train is still on this platform and he said “You need to be looking at the boards not asking staff” I have no words, they need to hire real professional staff who aren’t going to treat paying customers like the scum of the earth. Picture showing the disgraceful woman who got very nasty towards me. The man who dismissed me was bald, quite short and plus sized. These are LNER Staff.

This was a great station to both arrive and depart at, having direct services between Leeds that were bang on schedule! Platform 6 has a proper buffer and is well-sized for the train, appropriately for the large station and the zone signs make the areas clear. The grand front of the building is set in an old style accompanied by water falls, leading to where information is very efficiently provided by the departure boards and various signs! Cleanliness had been maintained and I found the seating to be comfortable, offering a wide view of the station.

Security guard watched as several of the homeless druggies outside harassed me then followed me inside the station to issue a fine as I dropped my cigarette to get away from them, he could barely speak or understand English and clearly shouldn't be in a job role for safety when he allowed a vulnerable person to be harassed

Doncaster to London. It is so great to live in a country where you can catch a train half way accross the country safely. I loved my first train journey. Thank you LNER for your great service.
