My experience with Cut Price Timber in Tranent from ordering the supplies I needed to getting them delivered was first class. The guy who took my order was very pleasant and helpful. The guy who delivered was very pleasant, friendly and took the timber to where I wanted it placed. This is my first time using the company but if I need anything else, will definitely be back. I dropped in to get timber / equipment for a garden fence. Really quick professional service and all the team were super helpful. Everything from tips on using the post-crete, loading the car and even pumped the tyres up a bit to make sure I got it all home safe! Would highly recommend - and price seemed very reasonable!

After excellent communication whilst ordering timber we were really disappointed at the lack of response and customer care after we'd received the product.
We ordered some sleepers and were disappointed by the quality. They were fully cracked all the way down and two of them had splits 1ft long all the way through the product. When we tried to move them they opened up even more.
What we received doesn't match the quality we were promised. These are what I'd have expected to find in clearance and my local timber yard, never as full price and quality.

Really disappointed that they haven't responded to us about this.
We have a lot of work to do and need 30 or so more timbers but we will not be using them again.

Excellent service from start to finish. I was surprised how competitive they were! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Special mention to Kieran who went to great trouble sourcing a product not stocked by them, even checking stock levels. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Cut Price Timber. Nice to have this in Tranent.
