What a little gem this is - especially if you like your โ€˜classicโ€™ jets! A beautiful Hawker Hunter T.8, Canberra and BA Boeing 747, not to mention a great cafe/restaurant ๐Ÿ‘

My grandson was intrigued by the aircraft.
It also helped that Grandad Bob has a wealth of information and knowledge about each plane. when we did a plenary discussion after,
Gabriel, my grandson, was able to tell us details about most of the planes. Especially the two Spitfires,
he was fascinated that one had two seats, and the pilot sits behind the passenger to fly the plane.
We went into the restaurant for a light lunch and drink, where you still can watch the planes take off and land .
A most enjoyable day was had by all.

Lovely little place to have a decent coffee amongst planes landing and taking off. They also have lots of car clubs visiting them every now and then hence nice place to see cars and bikes.

Cotswold Airport, located in Gloucestershire, UK, was formerly RAF Kemble. It now serves as an aviation hub with a 1973m-long runway and ample parking. Notably, the airport acquired the iconic Boeing 747-436 (registration G-CIVB) from British Airways. The โ€œNegusโ€ scheme 747 is being preserved for public display alongside other classic jets. Cotswold Airport received the Airfield Development Advisory Fund (ADAF) award, aiming to enhance business jet offerings and work toward carbon neutrality. Whether youโ€™re an enthusiast or a curious visitor, this airport offers a unique experience.

Went to Kemble specifically to Visit @negus747.
The trip was absolutely fantastic.
We were warmly welcomed on board and had a walk around.
The work they are doing to enable this beautiful Aircraft to be preserved is wonderful and the Ladies Who work with the 747 are Ex British Airways 747 cabin crew so know everything there is to know about the Aircraft.
Can not recommend a visit highly enough.
If you have an interest in Aviation, you will definitely not be disappointed.
