Just a traditional local community pub full of character and friendliness. We were late going for lunch but the barman couldn't be more accommodating. What caught our attention was dogs were also welcomed, and they had friendly dogs too. We opted for a couple of lager shandies and cheeseburgers with chips. Food was hot and basic without the frills. We loved it. I'd visit again for sure.

Came here with my family for my granny's wake on Saturday. They were the perfect hosts, there was a large outdoor space, with covered seats in case of rain too (luckily not needed!) and all enclosed making it child and dog safe! They set up a brilliant spread for the buffet, incorporating some of the ideas that we had put forward as well so a mix of homemade things and other. The carrot cake stood out in my opinion, it was light but moist and with a very tasty icing, nicely balanced. The onion bhajis were very yummy and nicely spiced 🥰 So nice having things made with their rescue chickens' eggs too. Everyone commented about how good the selection was both in variety and quality and how it was really nice how the hosts were available for us if we needed anything but in a relaxed way. We had a mix of food preferences and most people in attendance were people who enjoy good food, and everyone was well catered for and there was even some left we took away.

Thank you so much I'm really pleased we came to the Commercial Arms for this, and I would definitely recommend to others for similar events if they want a relaxed, caring atmosphere and especially if wanting to stay outside.
