A sweet little beach for the dogs with friendly people and dogs there. A lovely cafe with gorgeous toasties too, a little pricy but everywhere is now!

Parked for an hour just to enjoy the view and the sunshine 🌞. Unfortunately the heritage centre was closed by the time we got there about 4.00pm. The toilets left a lot to be desired as well.

We didnt go in the Heritage centre.
Dog friendly beach, nice walks. We always find it windy here so be prepared with warm layers. It is fun looking for fossils on the beach and always able to find one or many more in a short time. Plenty of parking, and food places are avalible

We loved both the heritage centre and the guided fossil hunt. We'd thoroughly recommend both! Anna was very knowledgeable as our guide and everyone found fossils! In the centre we then loved the fact that so many fabulous fossils had been discovered in the last few years!
Book in a guided hunt while in the area- you won't be disappointed!

*****Update*****
So, I figured out how to access the upper level with my scooter. It was a tight fit but I managed it. It was certainly worth it. Very interesting displays with fossils, fossil preparation and the history of fossil hunting. The staff were lovely and happy to answer questions too.
I had a burger downstairs while I was there and was able to see more places I hadn't had a chance to before due to not being able to walk last time!
There is a disabled toilet but it wasn't easy to get into due to the placement of the automatic hand washer (that didn't work). It was very smelly in there too. Not an experience I want to repeat any time soon but overall I enjoyed the day.

Didn't go inside as lots of steps but the view outside, with a coffee, is great.
There was disabled parking on the slope.
I'll go again for sure!

A stunningly beautiful stretch of coastline, with some surfing in the winter months and good fun for fossil hunting.
Good car park and public toilets.
Nice little coffee shop and gift shop if you want something fossilised x
