I do this walk about 3 times a week. Park at the weir and walk with my mate Ron from the weir all the way along the river Castle Walk...through the Quarry park up into the town for a coffee and then reverse the walk around trip of just over 4 miles. Can never get bored with this walk as the river and surroundings change every day....it is a lovely relaxing walk....do it you will not regret it...

It got me from one side of the river to the other without getting my feet wet. Recommended. Happens to be the first prestressed concrete built on the country.

A pleasant, easy, riverside walk on a tarmac surfaced footpath. Not overcrowded and clear of litter.
