Normally a 5 star service. I use this PO regularly. I was dissapointed to go all the way there today 31 Dec as website indicated it was open until 6pm today, (different hours/closed tomprrow of course) but was closed just after 5 when I arrived. Not a huge issue but please keep hours up to date, some of us have to travel specially.

Always had good service here in the past but that came to an end today. Needed to post a hand saw. Parcel too big for Royal Mail so requested Parcel Force. Very obstructive counter clerk who clearly does not understand or is unable to interpret the PF rules regarding what is prohibited and what is not.
Despite downloading guidance from the Parcel Force website and attempting to show it to the clerk she refused to read it and told me that, "We are not online, we are a Post Office Counter"
Very terse and quite rude. I suggest some 'Customer service' training would be beneficial in addition to properly reading and interpreting the rules regarding prohibited items.
Took the parcel to the next nearest Post Office and had no issue whatsoever.

Bladed Items
UK destinations

Prohibited Bladed Items cannot be sent. However, other Knives or Blades as defined by s141A Criminal Justice Act 1988 or ‘Bladed Products’ as defined by s41 of the Offensive Weapons Act 2019 can be sent using the Age Verification service. These include but are not limited to any knife or knife blade, including cutlery knives, bread knives, knives that can be used for hobbies and trades (for instance, utility knives and snap-off cutters, gardening, camping, lock knives, bushcraft and farming tools with a blade or any other trade tool that could commonly be described as a knife), butcher knives (including meat cleavers), felling axes and razor blades.

Note: this excludes folding pocket knives where the cutting edge of its blade does not exceed 3 inches (7.62cm) or razor blades permanently enclosed in a cartridge or housing where less than 2mm is exposed which can be sent without using Age Verification service.

Extremely Disappointing Experience at the Post OfficeI had an incredibly frustrating experience at the post office today when attempting to renew my driving license. Despite the central post office website and a staff member with short blond hair confirming they offer a walk-in service, I was turned away. The reason? She claimed they were short-staffed, even though there were two people behind the counter and not a single other customer in sight. This happened an hour before closing time, and I had driven 30 minutes specifically to get there. Despite explaining my situation, the staff member refused to help and told me to come back in two days. This was a clear display of laziness and a complete lack of professional customer service. It's beyond frustrating that individuals like this remain in their roles when there are numerous complaints about similar issues. I strongly suggest others avoid this location if they value their time and expect a basic level of service.

Worst staff of all times, very rude & fighting attitude. Not helpful at all. All staff need some customer service training. I believe none them ever been through customer service training in their lives. Two senior staff has this bad attitude; then all new staff start to follow them & in couple of months they will be same as others. Don't have any intentions to help the customers out of the box. With my business mail on some occasions I go at the tip of cutoff time, if staff want; they can help me out & accept my mail but they simply refuse my mail purposely on many occasions. They like to change customer attitude but they need to change themselves first before trying to correct others. I am all ways calm & easy going person. On many occasion thought of leaving feedback over the years but I let it go on many occasions. But finally made angry to leave this feedback. Please train your staff how to be kind with the customers.
