Moved to herne bay in July and postmen are as scarce as the lochness monster. Canterbury delivery office has completely failed the residents without any explanation - and Xmas is not an excuse as the service has been hit and miss since I arrived early summer. It’s a management/staffing issue and instead of them burying their heads in sand they need to get it resolved by letting the new owner know he’s bought an ineptly-run service that needs completely overhauled. Maybe employ some pigeons. I haven’t had a letter in weeks!! Giving the management one star is being far too lenient. I will be coming to sorting office next week so please have my mail ready because I won’t be leaving without it!!

Still waiting for family christmas cards sent first class I December, and told they have attempted to deliver parcels when they have been nowhere near us as we have a video door bell,and disabled and sit looking out of our window and hardly ever see a postman.

This place is so slow at delivery mail. And is always late. Tracked 48 is more like tracked 103. I'm still waiting for post from the 8th February. You need to improve your service big time

I just wanted to share an act of tremendous kindness that I had the benefit of experiencing at this place. I had ordered a couple of engagement rings for my girlfriend and I. In order for them to arrive on time for the proposal, they needed to be signed-for delivery. Unfortunately, I wasn't in to pick them up, so I went to get them the next day from the office (the last day I could get them before proposing). However, the parcel was technically meant to be out for re-delivery so I was initially told I couldn't pick collect them. But, after I explained my situation, the lady at the till (Sara) went to the back and emerged, with the help of a male colleague (thank you, whoever you were) with the parcel! Anyway, long story short, this meant that I was able to propose to my lovely girlfriend - and she said yes! So, thank you folks for looking past the processes and seeing the person (something that rarely happens nowadays) - you've helped to make us both very happy. God bless.

The staff are quite prompt, though won't do much to help if your parcel isn't within their service range. Still helpful to know where your parcel is stuck at.

Why is it over the last 5 or so years they’ve been consistently bad and getting worse, the amount of times I have had Royal Mail issues with this Royal Mail branch is unbelievable. If it’s not postmen who don’t bother to turn up to deliver my parcels and post until 2 weeks later when they suddenly decide to post it all at once it’s the missing parcels or letters that never seem to get delivered, I have had to track a dodgy screenshot down from Royal Mail before where they had delivered my parcel to a completely different house and street, or it’s the postmen who don’t bother to collect your parcels even when you’ve booked a collection. Honestly they’re the worst!! They make yodel and Evri look competent and that’s a difficult thing to do! The sooner people stop using their services the better!

And for reference I am in the Whitstable area, SORT IT OUT!
