I have used the Post Office many times and have had excellent service. Staff overwhelmed at times and sometimes understaffed but staff are polite helpful despite long queues. We definitely need to keep our Post Office as so many customers do not drive so having our Post Office in Camborne is essential.

Being told off for queuing in the wrong place when the yellow tape clearly says other wise. 1 person on the till. 15 people waiting. A terrible experience. Especially during covid times where so many people need to send things. Well done to privatisation and well done for separating the post office from it's previous location.

At least 15 people waiting in the queue. Two members of staff serving at the counter, one of them telling customers that she doesn't want to be there. Deadly quiet in the queuing area, very uncomfortable for neurodivergent folk and such a slow wait time. Would rather go down to Tehidy Road post office despite it being so much further.....they're friendly, approachable and make you feel at ease....the opposite of this one.

Normally tracked 2nd class parcels take 3-5 days, sometimes if it’s a good delivery, it can take as little as 2 days. My parcel has been sat at this post office for 7 days now.
You can’t call them and ask about it, it just sends you to an automated message no matter what options you choose on the call.
There haven’t been any strikes in these 7 days so that’s not an excuse for it.

There are strikes on this Friday and Saturday (which is in less than 2 days), pretty sure my parcel won’t get delivered until next week. Actually, next week is Christmas and Boxing Day and nye etc. so it probably won’t actually get delivered until after that. Actually, considering the other reviews, the workers in this shop probably won’t get round to all the parcels straight after Christmas, will probably take them well into January.
So, my parcel that was meant to take 3-5 working days, will now most likely sit at this “post office” for a few weeks.

Royal Mail always Claim to have attempted delivery even when you can prove nobody had been to your house,
How on earth this is a Royal service I don’t know even Hermes is better nowadays and that’s saying something.
The only option is to pick another date for re-delivery but the reality is they haven’t even stuck to the arrangement for the delivery date they have text you the previous day.
Essentially we will deliver tomorrow morning
So you wake up earlier and wait nobody arrives at your address to deliver.
So you check the online tracking to find that delivery has been attempted apparently.
How enraging Is that.

For clarification Royal Mail has nothing to do with Post Office Ltd. The Royal Mail Group of companies was split in 2013 in order for the letters side of the business to be privatised. Post Office Ltd is still state owned.
The Post Office has a partnership with WHSmith (amongst other companies) to provide counter services on their behalf (basically a franchise) The staff on the counter at Camborne PO are employees of WHSmith not PO. Many loss making Post Offices get “thrown” into the back of other shops/stores sadly, and this results in levels of service plummeting. The government over successive years has reduced funding to the Post Office and this has resulted in them having to tie in with other businesses.
I know staff at Post Office branches (particularly franchises) are over worked and under paid and are leaving in droves. You only have to look at the Truro branch (again thrown in a WHSmith) to see how the service has deteriorated over the years.

Not even worth 1 star. I know its difficult times but people having to queue halfway down there street in all weathers for items is diabolical. At least in the old office you could get under cover. Disabled people finding it VERY difficult to even get upstairs to the counter. Pathetic. Go to get super service at Tehidy Post Office where they're actually care for their customers.
