I recently visited the store with my elderly parents and was really impressed with the service we received. My parents had to give up their car recently for health reasons which has meant they don't get in to Torquay as often as they used to, so they had quite a list of things they needed to buy. We where so pleased to meet sales assistant Nigel, who couldn't do enough to help and advise us, he went out of is way, above and beyond, to give excellent service. We really wanted this to be recognised, and to say thank you Nigel for looking after us, you're doing a fantastic job šŸ™‚

Very good store…people say nowadays about hardware shops dying off.. I can see their point and it is a shame.. I class b&q in Torquay as a giant hardware shop!!..some stuff a wee bit dear—but quality is excellent šŸ‘Œ staff very well trained…good selection of sealants and glue for diy-jobs..snack-van outside..good parking šŸ…æļø be interesting to see what plants they have again…also interesting to see about heavy duty garden chairs…had quick look last night about these heavy duty garden chairs…

Large DIY shop with a big (free) car park.
Great selection of products & tools for both amateurs & trade professionals.
Staff are always happy to help & advise.
(On weekdays & Saturdays, there is also a great burger van based in their car park for when hunger strikes / you just need a bacon bap!)
**Oct 23 update**They offer a timber cutting service & also now have a great Yale key cutting machine where you just scan your key & it replicates it.

I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience at Trade Point Torquay. I ordered tools for my new job, starting Monday, and was assured they’d be ready for collection by Friday. Upon arrival, I was told the delivery hadn’t arrived. I waited over an hour after being reassured the order was "with DPD" and expected soon.

The next day, the manager, David, contradicted this, claimed I misunderstood, and said it would arrive by 1 p.m. It didn’t. By Sunday, I was informed my order wasn’t coming at all, and David admitted he didn’t know if it ever would. Instead of offering solutions, he seemed indifferent, even stating he was prepared to lose a customer over this.

No one apologized or took responsibility for the time, fuel, and stress I wasted. Starting a new job without the necessary tools is already anxiety-inducing, and this experience only made it worse. I was offered a £20 store credit for fuel, which is an insult given the poor service and lack of accountability.

Trade Point has let me down massively, and I wouldn’t recommend relying on them.
