I had one of the most humiliating experiences of my life at B&Q Newbury Park (Ilford).

A staff member named Prima loudly and wrongly accused me in front of other customers of not paying for an item I had purchased the day before — even though I had the receipt in my hand.

She was sarcastic, aggressive, and never spoke to me privately. The store manager, Mohamed, also initially sided with her without checking the facts. It was only after they reviewed the CCTV footage that they admitted I had paid for everything.

No one apologised. I was treated with complete disrespect and public humiliation. Another customer present also complained about Prima’s rude behaviour.

I have submitted a formal complaint through B&Q’s official website and I truly hope they take action.

This was absolutely unacceptable.

Poor service, badly trained staff especially the management. Shop assistance have little knowledge in the products they are selling and have very limited knowledge of DIY.
Overall very poor customer service compared to other stores

If i could give 0 stars I would! rude and immature staff, they have no clue what they are doing. Asked someone for help to find a certain type of paint, instead he gave me several sarcastic responses, which were completely irrelevant to the situation. The man who served me was definitely racist, from now on i will be sticking to b&q romford.

Very bad service, bad product as well ,
I have spend couple of thousands pounds few months ago , bought washing /dryer , hub , and oven , after that hub and Machine dryer got damaged , my builders charge all of them to replace , call B&Q and ask for other products , they always doesn’t have a product available , I needed to wait for the whole refund C spend other money to buy new appliances, struggling for money , waited huge time to get refund , now it’s need 6 weeks to get the new dryer, as my brand new which was only bought before 6 months ago , it’s burning from inside , hotpoint product which is expensive, people working in b&q they dosnt understand simple English at all , have to call 3/4 times to explain same query since 3/4 weeks ,

No one try to resolve my problem , try to refund my money again 2nd time refund , After have to hang up for getting 550 back , and then need to buy other one , Now it’s really very frustrating also have 5 washing pending to do , do not drive at all and need to go to far for washing, also spending £8 for each small laundry, Such a useless . I’m not going to spend and buy any single product from B&Q. , after all this I believe Amazon is much better then this brand .

The guy a desk on 10/01 around 7pm mistakenly got the wrong wall color. I had requested 5L of “North Driftwood,” but since it was unavailable ( I suppose) , the young staff member at the desk provided “Driftwood,” claiming it was the same color under a different name. Does it seem the same colour ? I had the 2 rooms painted in the same colour and I needed extra. I am left for the weekend with an undone Job and the paint is not refundable.
