I visited the services today on a journey to visit family , I would like to say how impressed I was the services it may be smaller than most but was amazilimgly clean and had a nice atmosphere very welcoming , you could
Also see members of staff chatting with customers And it was just all round a friendly happy place . I visited the toilet while there And was blown away. They was brand new and sparkling. Clean. And had a nice aroma. ( which is rare for most services ) I would just like to give credit to the staff and management doing such a good job !

The new toilets were a standout feature - modern, well-maintained, and spotless. It made a big difference to have such a fresh and hygienic option available.

The food options were diverse, with McDonald's, Greggs and Chopstix to choose from everything I had was fresh and tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the positive experience.

A well laid out place. Loads of additional eateries. Everywhere clean and tidy.
Only downside is the cost of fuel. Typical motorway prices - avoid if you can.

If lucky to get a truck parking spot, occasionally I've had to head straight out again if all allocated lorry bays are taken, then it's an ok little services. Clean, comfortable and safe. The usual vendors on site. Praise to Greggs for consistently being efficient and customer focused. Petrol station staff a bit frosty regarding taking photos but it's not illegal so I told them to mind their own business in exactly the same frosty attitude they used on me. Don't be put off buying fuel as I suppose they were wondering if I was a building inspector.

I went in the morning so got breakfast meal. Porridge with jam, pancakes with syrup and also a egg muffin meal with a latte.
All the Food was fresh and very tasty as you would expect.
Sitting area was clean an staff are nice an friendly.
If you passing by Darwen an need a pit stop these services are great and also other restaurant choices.

Hostage rolls from Greggs, noodles 2 go from noodle bar, plenty of toilets, loads of car parking, fair amount of HGV parking. 2hr free parking limit, HGV fuel at the Shell garage what more do you want?

Unbelievable, what a ripoff, the price for overnight parking for a private vehicle is 3 times the normal motorway services charge 30 odd quid . Disgusting abuse, a service station should provide a safe haven for all motorists at a reasonable cost
