The only place in Tain to buy fresh fish, & its the best place. Reasonable prices & helpful polite staff. Lots of other things to buy there too, full range of spices & ingredients, fresh veg too. Well worth going in for a look, you'll be amazed at what they sell.

What an amazing local corner shop. A wide variety of good but it is the ladies behind the counter that make the shop. We have children with additional needs who attend our club. We are trying to teach life skills and the ladies are fantastic. So encouraging and inclusive. We are very lucky to have such a shop in our community.

Fabulous shop! Fish and whole foods, absolutely amazing. I have been in twice (we live in Cromarty) and the women working there have all been lovely. I spotted the apple pie and poppyseed cheesecake and asked if it was locally made. It is made in Poland. Oh my goodness, absolutely fabulous! I am originally from NY and the cheesecake is divine as is the apple pie.Superb selection of fish and the smoked mackerel is delicious. It would be so great if you could open a branch in Cromarty, I would be there all the time!

We went to Bannerman's today in Tain. I was looking for something for our campsite BBQ. I asked the fishmonger what was in the bowl amongst the white fish; Monkfish cheeks she informed me. I have never seen these for sale, so I bought them all to try. These with a large tub of sweet herring and 12 fresh langoustes went home with us for £13.00. So tonight a gourmet meal consisted of herring, followed cheeks lightly fried in butter ( if you get the chance to buy these, don't forget to remove the membrane) and 6 charcoal grilled langoustes each. Totally delicious....what a treat to have such fresh seafood.
