the worst company. I do not recommend to anyone. Not even to my enemies. I paid 900 pounds for a 3 bedroom house move. Then they asked for an extra 600 pounds and did not complete the job. Claiming that I was not ready and the beds were not made. After 2 hours they collected only half of the things and left for delivery. Do not choose Anyvan. Better someone private

Absolutely appalling service from AnyVan and their customer service team have been no help at all. We paid extra to have an additional driver for our removals in January but before loading our items on the van they threatened to not move any of our stuff unless we paid a 'walking distance' fee of £50 which this was not mentioned anywhere on the booking form or in the T&C's. My girlfriend was with her roommate when this happened and they felt very vulnerable and forced to pay this charge. One of the men then also made an inappropriate sexual comment to my girlfriend which was not professional at all. Once they started loading the van, neither of them were careful with any of our items and were banging the walls, throwing boxes the wrong way up on to their trolley and even dropping boxes in/near the van. They then drove the van to the new property where I met them, and was faced with the same forceful and intimidating threat of not taking our items into the property without paying an additional 'walking distance' fee, this time for £40. With no way of getting our items out of their van to move, I was forced to pay this. Once again, there was no respect for our items being thrown about every way onto their trolley and the men didn't seem to care at all.
When unpacking boxes and seeing our furniture, I noticed very quickly that there were scratches and chips to multiple items of furniture, and some items in boxes broken and damaged. I took photos of all the damages and emailed AnyVan to raise a complaint. They weren't interested.
My girlfriend left a review about this and they rang her immediately to offer us a refund of both 'walking distance' charges - which they did refund - but they also asked her if she would remove her review! Blackmail
I continued to chase our email chain to claim for compensation against our damaged goods only to receive an email with a claims form stating that because 7 days have passed it is likely that our claim will be rejected. Considering I emailed them very early on and they never got back to me with a claim form within 7 days, this seems highly unfair on our part. But they are still not interested and have not cared to offer any help whatsoever.
Will be avoiding using AnyVan at all costs in future and would advise others to do the same. They employ cowboys and have no care for their customers. At the price we paid for this service, the very least we expected was for our items to make it from A to B in one piece. Sadly this was not the case. Appalling service and even worse customer service!

My advice if you are thinking of choosing AnyVan would be use any other van. I paid Ā£505 to have the contents of my two bedroom house moved that was already packed, dismantled, and sitting gathered in the garage and conservatory. They didn’t even take half my stuff and left me stranded. As an individual with multiple health conditions including a heart condition and back injury I was left in a very stressful situation with a good deal of furniture and things that need moved and no way to do so. The stuff that was moved I still ended up carrying boxes. I ended up having to pay someone else the day of who was much more helpful at a fraction of the cost. I’ve tried to resolve this with customer service It feels like I’m speaking to a bot as they continue to ask the same question repeatedly without offering any solution just empty apologies. Absolutely disgusted with working with what was supposed to be a reputable company. For Ā£500 I expected better service and a stress free move. Photos are what I was left with. Edit to include after going through a dispute with visa the company have sent document claiming that I signed it to confirm delivery. The signature is not my signature and I did not sign anything they are now committing forgery. Definitely AVOID!

THE MOST INCOMPETENT COMPANY

totally incompetent and amateurs causing damage and leaving the job undone, one of them smelling marijuana.

They left the sofa standing half way through the door blocking multiple entrances, as well as causing damage to the velvet fabric and frame of the sofa and extensive damage to the door and door frame.

The 2 Anyvan employees stupidly tried to take the sofa out of the room through the door with the sofa tilted the wrong way - the sofa bed’s pulling system facing downwards instead of upwards and pushing it through at a straight angle.

After damaging the door frame and the sofa, one of them became stressed calling head office and trying to claim the excuse that the sofa’s pulling system has a defect, which is untrue. He then tried to make me sign a damage waiver in order to carry on with the job, which I refused to sign.

One of the employee even highlighted they should stop the job as they were not feeling comfortable proceeding to bring the sofa downstairs.

The employees were rude, aggressive and threatening as soon as they realised about the damage, shouting on the street as they were leaving leaving.

I tried to call Anyvan customer service today but have received no answers and resolution so far.

As an update:

Their quality team's response to the significant damages was a rather underwhelming offer of a mere £100, presented as their final word, which is less than the cost of removal service paid upfront of £120.-, hence no compensation.

DO NOT EVER USE ANYVAN!
I’ve just had the most infuriating experience with AnyVan, and I cannot stress enough how utterly appalling their service is. I booked two separate appointments for home moves—one for my girlfriend’s belongings, and one for mine, both within the same week, and both going to the same location. What a colossal mistake that turned out to be.
First appointment: Two drivers showed up in a DPD van—fine, whatever. They were polite and punctual, but that’s where any shred of competence ended. The job? Simple: remove a bed, a fridge, and a TV stand. One major issue: They flat-out refused to dismantle the bed (even though this was part of the job). The fridge was the real disaster. It was going down a flight of stairs, and the so-called movers kept telling me it was their first day. Are you kidding me?! By the end of the entire ordeal, my Ā£900 American fridge (which I’d purchased only seven months ago) was left with scratches, dents, and chipped paint. After I complained to AnyVan, they had the nerve to offer me a pitiful Ā£50 in compensation. That was their solution. Ā£900 worth of damage and they offer me peanuts?
Second appointment: This one was even worse. I paid an extra Ā£26 to have a driver arrive between 9 am - 12 pm. What do I get? A message at 1:30 pm saying the guy was running late, with no apology and, of course, no refund for the delay. The driver, a guy named Siddiq, was flustered and unprofessional from the second he arrived. I asked if he wanted to see the items before loading. His response? ā€œBruv, I’ve been doing this for 15 years.ā€ Great attitude, huh? As he loaded my things, he was aggressive, argumentative, and rude. When I politely asked if he could be careful with my items, he snapped at me, saying he was ā€œrunning lateā€ and needed to leave soon. How is that my problem? But it gets worse…
I specifically paid for 1st-floor-to-1st-floor delivery (it was right there on the booking confirmation). Siddiq flat-out refused, claiming he would only collect or deliver from the ground floor. So not only did I have to haul my stuff down a flight of stairs, but I then had to drag it up to my new property. Unbelievable!
And then the absolute final straw: Siddiq broke some of my belongings in transit. He barely acknowledged it, and when I pointed out that my TV and stand were ruined, he nonchalantly said, ā€œIt will probably just clip back in.ā€ When I told him that the damage was irreparable, his response was to tell me to ā€œcall the companyā€ and ā€œtell them you had the worst driver ever.ā€ That’s when it hit me—this isn’t a one-off. This is just how AnyVan operates. They don’t care. No responsibility, no accountability.
Let me make it crystal clear: AnyVan is a scam. They sell themselves as cheap, convenient, and simple. But when it comes to handling your belongings, they are a nightmare. The drivers are subcontracted and frankly, many of them are so unprofessional they wouldn’t last a day with a reputable moving company. And don’t expect any real customer service if things go wrong—because it won’t happen.
I will NEVER, ever use AnyVan again. I’d rather pay more for a professional, reliable company that actually values my things. AnyVan is a cowboy operation that belongs on the Rogue Traders website. Stay away at all costs.

Update:: 22/03/2025 - Please do NOT be fooled by AnyVan’s fake attempts to ā€œresolveā€ the situation in the comments. It's all a sham, just like the flood of fake positive reviews they post to cover up their incompetence! I’ve tried to contact AnyVan multiple times, just like thousands of other furious customers, and their responses are nothing short of rude, dismissive, and utterly useless. They hide behind the excuse that it's "outside of 7 days" and offer absolutely no help whatsoever. Don’t let them manipulate you by replying to negative comments—this is a scam, and there’s nothing genuine about their so-called responses!

In fact one star is too many. Arrived two hours late (had a job on the way) In a white battered van (no branding) the two removal people not in any work wear (to be fair to them they were polite and friendly) - damaged floors and ceilings. Packed with no care - fridge and freezer packed in normal cardboard boxes and left on a van for 3/4 hours to defrost and go off - leaking bottles - smashed glasses, I could go on more - we even paid for a 'Premium' service' I wrote a 'nice' complaint on Monday, not even acknowledged - to be told today in a queue of many complaints!!! (says it all).... I have tried to be fair, but this company just does not care. Photos to give context - many many more available to share.

Additional information: AnyVan continue to be useless - they offered a goodwill gesture to acknowledge time off but not damage to property - still waiting for it to arrive in the bank.

Today I have had a response offering £30 for all of the damage to our walls, floors and ceilings - due to me not claiming correctly (which I did) .... AVOID this company - people say this 'I don't complain' I honestly rarely do.. but this company has made my house move a complete nightmare!.. and I really am sure they just don;t care.

Used AnyVan to deliver a second-hand wardrobe purchased on Gumtree and will never go near them again.

First, the courier was very late - ended up reaching us after 9pm.

Second, the wardrobe received significant cosmetic damage in transit (huge, deep scratches across both doors and the front frame). The courier did not draw our attention to this and tried to get us to sign a damage non-liability waiver.

We raised a claim with AnyVan. They sent us a response 7 days later, asking us to resubmit the claim due to an error, but did not include the resubmission link. We immediately responded to request the link and received it on the next day; we immediately resubmitted accordingly. AnyVan tried to deny our claim outright on the grounds it had been over 7 days since the delivery - this felt like an attempt to dodge the claim through delay tactics.

We challenged this, and have now been offered £50. The wardrobe (which is ruined) and delivery cost over £140 combined. They are claiming our payout is capped because we 'chose' a level of insurance which included theft and fire cover but NOT damage during transit. A) We have no recollection of an 'enhanced cover' option being presented and B) What kind of reputable courier service doesn't include cover for damage during transit as standard? Also C) Then what was the point of the liability waiver they tried in the first place? They have now unilaterally closed our claim.

We've been left angry, exhausted and out of pocket by AnyVan and encourage everyone to avoid them if possible.

Absolutely shocking company to use for moving.
The movers broke my LG 65 inch TV and the glass on a bedside table. The total reimbursed by the insurers recommended by AnyVan was just over Ā£400 because of Ā£300 excess. A total scam! That doesn’t even cover one item! The movers were rushed and didn’t use the original tv box I had asked them to use. They argued about my list of items that I had stipulated to take including disassembling and reassembling two beds which they did not do. The whole process using them was unpleasant and stressful especially that I was doing the move alone after separation from my husband and downsizing. I will never use them again. They were unhelpful and I now can’t afford to replace goods that they broke.
