Michael was able to pick.us up last minute when no-one else could. We booked our return journey with him. He was very pleasant and friendly. He was very knowledgeable about the area and has made us want to come back. It was a very hot day so was a relief when he picked us up and had the aircon blasting! When we return we would definitely rebook with him. 10 out of 10 and that's something!!!

My partner and I were in Alnwick for a wedding, and one of our biggest concerns was the long journey back to Edinburgh Airport on Sunday. We expected it to be expensive, uncomfortable, and maybe even a bit stressful, but we couldn’t have been more wrong.

Booking with Alnwick Wizard Taxis was effortless. I reached out via email and Michael, the owner, replied quickly and helpfully. He suggested a time that would get us to the airport comfortably ahead of our flight. Being a bit of a time pessimist, I asked if we could leave 15 minutes earlier, and Michael was more than happy to accommodate.

On the day, he arrived early in a spotless, comfortable car and helped us with our bags. From the moment we got in, Michael put us at ease. We had expected to try and nap during the ride, but instead we ended up chatting with him the entire way. He was an absolute pleasure — warm, funny, and genuinely engaging. What could have been a tedious trip turned into a highlight of our weekend.

The ride was smooth, the car was immaculate, and the price was incredibly fair. In fact, my partner and I both remarked how oddly sad we were to say goodbye at the airport. It felt like leaving a friend.

We can highly recommand Alnwick Wizard Taxis. They replied promptly to our request and questions. They were perfectly on time. The driver, Michael was very friendly, lovely to talk to. And even gave us a 5 minute detour to see a great view nearby our route (after of couse asking us first and asking is we had the time (no extra charge)). We were pleasantly surprised with this great and friendly taxi service.

Top service for a fair price. The driver arrived at the DFDS terminal in New Castle on time to make sure he could pick us up at the exit, otherwise we had to walk 10 minutes because he is not a preferential taxi. During the ride he provided additional information about our destination Alnwick Castle and sights along the route. The driver was very friendly and helpful, definitely recommended for a quick get to Alnwick.
